"This small hotel is perfect in every way. The room was surprisingly spacious relative to Japanese rooms, and the fall foliage from our balcony was lovely. "The highlight of staying in Kyoto. This ryokan is going towards more of the countryside of Kyoto in Ohara but it is definitely worth spending a couple nights in. Yes it is farther away from the main tourist temples but honestly it is so much nicer staying here away from all the tourists and finding hidden gems within Ohara where there are hardly any tourists. The rooms themselves were so serene and peaceful. The onsens always feel amazing especially after long days exploring temples and gardens....
