We booked this hotel as a stop over for one night before continuing to drive to Dover for the ferry. We booked it as it was a reasonable price and could accommodate our family. When we arrived reception was like a sweat box, the smell was awful and the decor looked like they’d thrown a party in there the night before and hadn’t tidied up. The guy said he could give us 2 rooms next to each other for our family as we had previously requested. However we went to the first room, to find that the rooms weren’t next to each other at all. On the way to the first we walked past a room whose door was wide open and in it lay a man in a dressing gown looking as if he was completely dependent on some form of drugs. He grunted as we walked past. We then opened the room to find it hadn’t even been cleaned from the person before - mess on the floor, bed unmade and the smell. We then opted to look at the second room which was up another set of stairs (not next door), when we got there we got in the room, we found a dark, smelly, dinghy room with wall paper peeling off the walls. The door didn’t completely shut as a gap was left at the bottom. It didn’t feel clean at all. There was no space for a cot (even though the booking was for an infant). All in all we felt it was disgusting and felt unsafe staying there. My husband told the manager we would not be staying there and he kindly gave us a refund as I believe they knew how bad it was too. We did not feel safe at all!!

Ok but wouldn’t stay again

The beds were tiny. Beds were uncomfortable. 1 pillow each for a family of 6. No kettle or coffee making facilities. We went and purchased a kettle because we needed it for baby bottles. Air conditioning was mediocre and didn’t really work.

Malgré le signalement donné, il y a encore eu des insectes dans ma chambre. Malheureusement, la climatisation n’a marché que le jour de mon départ. J’ai eu du mal à dormir, je ne dormais pas beaucoup. Je passais de très mauvais nuit. Il y avait des odeurs de cigarettes désagréables. Le matériel était défectueux contrairement a certaines chambres… ( Lampes intégrés, cintres, il n’y avait pas machines à laver ou de bonne endroit pour sécher nos vêtements en toutes sécurités. J'étais obligé de laver mes vêtements dans l’évier et me débrouiller pour le séchage) J’ai trouvé cela injuste. Il n’y avait pas de restauration le midi, ni le soir alors j’étais obliger de manger fast-food presque tous les jours. Il y a un bon petit déjeuner. Le personnel est assez cool. Il y a beaucoup de fumeurs alors que c’est un hôtel non-fumeurs,(raison pour laquelle j’ai pris l’hôtel), c’était horrible et insupportable. Je n’ai pas aimé surtout lors du petit-déjeuner et quand je sortais la fumée de la cigarette venait sur moi. Horrible.
