“This is the second time weve stayed here and it wont be the last. Food is amazing , staff are freindly and accommodating. The rooms are clean warm and comfortable. This is a little gem and if you havent stayed or eaten here before your really missing out .”

Close to the station and walking distance from pretty much everything. Ian Dunkerley is a national treasure. Was such a pleasure to meet him. The view of the water from my room windows was phenomenal. Had a wonderful stay. Eager to return soon.”

“High quality twin room , lots of light, heating and bathroom very good . One very small thing and probably me being a little picky , a shower curtain is not for me , however it was clean and did the job . An excellent breakfast , and friendly helpful staff .Definitely will return ”

“The room was fantastic, the absolute bonus was the heating was on low to keep the place toasty even though it was cold outside. ”

“it is in the old town center and just next to the main attractive points like cathedral. as it is a building over 500 years old, so no lift but wooden stairs only (but this is the reason i stay here). Shared toilet and bathroom is good (and you can enjoy the cathedral view when you are "relaxing"). ”

“The hotel has recently been refurbished but still has the ‘old’ side which you can select the room for stay if you are interested in this historic experience. Those rooms will be available for cheaper prices as well. I chose to stay at the ‘newer’ side for my accommodation this time as they are usually more comfortable for a good night sleep. I was correct and the room looks amazing and spacious too! What a wonderful refurbishment with great designs. Staff were also very helpful and friendly……
