"This long-established hot spring inn, located near the Dogo Onsen area in Matsuyama, offers an authentic Japanese lodging experience with a beautiful garden, excellent hospitality, spotless cleanliness, and exceptionally comfortable beds."
"Amazing! From the extremely kind and friendly host, to the clean and well decorated facilities, great place to stay. Conveniently located too (close to Dōgo park and Dōgo onsen, restaurants, foot baths). "
"The location is great. Walkable or easy to get a transport to all of the major tourist attractions and local or high end shopping. Variety of restaurant and coffee shops around the hotel. "
"The staff were so lovely and the hotel had lots of little nice touches that made it a pleasure to stay at. Dogo onsen was next door and the hotel provided towels and yukata to take. The room was quiet and peaceful. I didn’t dine at the hotel but enjoyed the free sake bar and there were lots of options for food nearby. "
"Nice hotel, not fussy but clean and efficient. Staff very helpful and rooms are basic. Breakfast is great with healthier choices than most. Will stay again. They have lockers to store luggage. "

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Matsuyama
10/10 Excellent
"This was literally the best hotel experience I’ve had in Japan for the price range. I don’t normally even bother with reviews but they deserved it.
I will definitely look for out for them again in other cities if I have the chance. "
"The Japanese style room is as close to a ryokan stay as you can get. Try the Japanese breakfast - both the Japanese and western breakfast was plentiful, nutritious and tasty. Staff service, friendliness and attentiveness was impeccable. We truly enjoyed our stay. Around the corner to the Dogo Onsen (historic onsen that recently
reopened) although we didn’t visit, seeing the building (at night) is impressive. We can to visit the shrines and do a tiny Henro - this is walkable to the Ishitige Shrine and others close by. Wonderful stay - and getting a room with the in room onsen was very a nice indulgence. "
"The building was somewhat outdated, but it was well-maintained and clean. Most importantly, the service was excellent. When I originally reserved two rooms for my family, they were on the separate floors. However, during check-in, the staff updated one of rooms from a single to a queen-size bed, allowing us to stay on the same floor at no extra changes."
