Maria’s place was just right for our stay in San Antonio. We were there the week after Christmas for our son’s graduation from boot camp into the Air Force. The house was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. We enjoyed being able to have some home cooked meals and relax and hang out in a homelike setting. . We discovered a deck of cards and enjoyed some card games. There was even an extra toothbrush for the guy who forgot his.
Maria was very accommodating and replied to my texts.
For those wondering about the neighborhood, it is not glamorous, nor is it rural and secluded. It is a working class neighborhood. The houses are close together and the yards are small. If you are outside or have the windows open, you are likely to hear some sounds of life, but that did not bother us. You could just put on some music. I like getting a glimpse of real life and not just the touristy stuff. We enjoyed taking a walk around the neighborhood.
We also took in some sights like the Riverwalk and the Alamo and enjoyed a couple of nice restaurants.
It was a sweet week!
