Mission beach beauty!

A True Gem

What a sweet find! Everything about this darling cottage was spot on. The cleanliness, the convenience, the amazing beds and linens? Superb. The hosts are very open, welcoming and kind. I look forward to staying here again.

Great location and quiet

The cottage is nicely appointed, and we liked having a parking spot and laundry facilities. Very clean, very quiet. Nice outdoor area for relaxing and space for an 18 month old to play. Janet and Scott were immediately available by phone to help with a minor electrical issue. There were toys and a high chair we used, and a pack & play, which we did not. Roomy closets in both bedrooms, comfortable beds. Would love to stay here again.

Great place to visit with kids! Less than 2 blocks walk to the beach at the bay, and a short drive or bike ride to the ocean beach. The house was child-friendly and so comfortable for an easy family vacation. Any minor issues that arise were handled swiftly and professionally by the managers or assistants.

High quality, good price

Everything about this property was good to excellent. The neighborhood is quiet, laundry was free, beds comfortable, kitchen was fairly well stocked, there were two smart TV's, the place was clean and tastefully decorated; it's close to the bay and not so far to the beach either. They offer free bikes and beach gear--both pretty beat up but usable. I'd stay here again.

Beach vibes on a budget

Great location near bay and ocean as well as local shops and restaurants. Comfortable beds and good temp control options. They made attempts to deal with the dampness in the unit with moisture absorption bags, but there were clear signs of mold in the bathroom (shower curtain and window shade, ceiling). Overall, the cleaning needed a step up-- rug needed to be cleaned to get rid of debris and dirt, and there were stains on some sheets, towels, and curtains. Window screens also need attention. Aside from that, the place was comfortable and easy to access.

Parking spot is a blessing!

This is a nice little beach house in a quiet neighborhood. It is comfortable and conveniently located near Mission Bay and the beach. It was great for our girls week at the beach. The biggest plus is having the parking space right behind the unit. This is a typical beach community where parking can be difficult. The kitchen is adequately supplied including dishes for children. Spices are very limited so bring your own. We used mostly premade meals. The appliances were a little difficult to figure out but we did find the owners manual for them. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and would consider coming back. Make note that the rental agreement doesn’t allow for visitors other than those registered so don’t plan on inviting any other company over.

Only review you need:Start with the negative1. Location to the ocean. Yes it’s 4.5 blocks from the beach, however, that’s 0.6 miles. So if you’re going to the ocean with a family it’s not really walking friendly. We drove the car dropped off all the beach stuff (chairs, coolers boogie boards etc), then drove back to the house. I then rode the bike they provided to the beach and locked it up. 2. It doesn’t really sleep 6. The futon bed is in the living room and would really only sleep one person, however, there is no air conditioner in the living room and there’s no real air flow. So that room gets very warm and doesn’t cool down until 6am then begins to heat back up at noon. 3. Kitchenette is small but functional. Only two electric burners, but works well for simple things like eggs. We didn’t use the grill, but there is a nice grill on the patio (I believe is shared with the other two units). The positives1. Location to the bay. Very close to bay, which is very nice to walk or ride the bike around too. 2. Portable air condition units in the two bedrooms made sleeping very comfortable and the beds were pretty good as well. 3. Management was very responsive to issues that came up. They also had someone repair problems immediately, and also had someone move the trash cans back and forth on trash day. Overall decent place, little overpriced for location but what place in pacific beach isn’t.
