This boutique hotel is an experience. Its romantic ambiance is perfectly suited for relaxation, romance, or reflection. It is a photo op enthusiast’s dream—“gram” worthy. I wasn’t expecting the visual feast when I entered the lobby. The pictures you see online in some ways don’t do this lovely gem justice. As the sun travels through the sky, it is only in person that you may appreciate the sun’s warm rays kissing the cozy nooks throughout the property. The hotel is alive, and it breathes in cool, refreshing air with the gusts of wind that flow through its corridors. Its charm is in the details such as how they still use keys (regular metal keys) to open the arch-shaped wooden entries into their guest rooms. The décor carries history—life. While certainly offering modern features such as WiFi, there is something special about the mechanical aspects of daily living that are unappreciated by many modern amenities. The balcony views are lovely and offer guests the opportunity to sip on delicious complimentary house coffee or other beverage of choice and watch the spectacular sunsets. There wasn’t a mini fridge nor a single-cup coffee maker in our room, but the lack of these appliances beckons you step out and enjoy the property, satisfy your pallet with their delicately crafted menu, or venture out and get a taste of the local cuisine. Then there is the spirit of the place made up by Mr. Alex and key members of his team, particularly David (Front Desk) and Jairol (Bar).
