Atami resort is beautiful. The rooms are are really nice. The pelican restaurant was awesome. Great views and great food. Our waiter Andres was just amazing. They have two beaches that are easy accessible. They have two pops. The place is large full of palapas and hammocks. Just beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel.

I would like servers at the pool area to take drinks orders. No one there to order a single beer. Room didn’t have a chair and water pressure was poor.

Its a great place to stay, you get a spectacular view of the beach and ocean. The pools are great, the beach water pool is nice, restaurant is a good, but the only thing are the rooms. The rooms need an upgrade and are in need of new plumbing. The water doesnt drain quick enough from the shower, leaving it to turn into a pool. I have stayed there a few times now, I would have thought that would have been fixed by now. Other then that its a cool spot to stay with the family or friends.

We arrived and checked in fine. views were excellent. Little dated but nice. The only issue we had was that we had dinner at the pelicano restaurant and two of us got sick, we did report it to restaurant and some staff members, that night and all of next day we spend sleeping or just sitting around hoping to get well. The place has amassing views so sad we did not enjoy to the fullest.

I loved the view, the property grounds very nice and relaxing. The room was clean but very basic. I would stay here again because I loved the location of the hotel and the service, we had free buffet breakfast.

The hotel is exactly as pictured. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. There was a language barrier between us and they took the time to read my translator to see what I needed. The rooms have the basic necessities. There’s no room phones and no wash cloths. Also the pillows are really small, well actually they are the size of thrown pillows. The food though was everything. Every meal we ordered was amazing. Definitely take advantage of the free breakfast, definitely worth it. The salt water pool was my favorite, highly recommend. Overall my husband and I had a really good stay.

Super nice stay! Staff was super nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling with family since it has a pool for children and has a very family friendly atmosphere.

rooms are very small and outdated not what they show on pictures, staff not friendly at all, very inconvenient to get, we had to go through a small town to get to it, swimming pool was dirty, other pool was been repair, not working, restaurant close very early, bar service not available, unless you go far to the bar and bring your drinks with you, worst place i have ever been to

Rooms needs renovation. Rooms are too old for the price. Restrooms are old and not good enough for their brand. They should update the whole property.

Needs some improvements
The hospitality was wonderful. I would say things that need improvement would be probably having mini refrigerators in the rooms, the toilets in the rooms to be a bit higher, or at least ADA compliance. Beach chairs to be a bit more comfortable. They have some plastic ones. Key for room are traditional like house keys. It’s not like a card system. Would be nice if they offered traditional Salvadorian. But overall the location is beautiful. Their restaurants are nice. I would say you have to be mobile in order to get around the premises. If your wheelchair bound it’s not an ideal place to take your loved ones or yourself. Also, it would be nice to see that little trash laying around the resort being picked up. I never saw trash pick being done during my 6 day stay.

Pictures on web are true. Walkway/stairs down to private beach is safe. Main pool in middle of property was clean. Umbrellas set up for shade. Pool towels must be requested at front desk. Actually, everything has to be requested at front desk since there are no room phones to dial 0 for assistance. Visited for 3 nights. During my stay, I lost my family heirloom ring. I spoke to front desk staff which contacted Margarita, on site Supervisor. She requested my email to keep in contact should any additional update arise. I checked out and left the property. My heart was heavy as I checked into my other hotel for the remainder of my vacation stay. To my surprise, My emails and correspondence were responded to on a daily basis. The day before leaving back to the US, Margarita wrote me and said she had found my Ring!!! I am highly impressed with the diligence her and her staff displayed. Everyone was on board with looking for it. Front desk and other departments would continuously give me updates on any additional info. Even if there was none, they would address me and say they would keep searching. That helped tremendously. I am so thankful. The staff were remarkably helpful. Truly grateful that Management showed deep concern and interest in helping me. They did not shut me out or dismiss me or my urgent situation. I appreciate the attention to all means of hosting on premises. We had dinner at Pelicanos all 3 nights. Seaside view is spectacular as well as the marvelous sunsets.

I have been visiting Atami Resort for the last 10 years and every year they improve. This is my favorite spot in El Salvador, its beautiful. My daughter who is 7, has grown up visiting there since she was born annually, and she loves it. The staff is amazing , and Glenda, at the front desk,was most accomodating and professional. The facilities are well maintained, and the views, surf, and water are world class. A tropical paradise. They are my first choice when in Salvador. Thank u Atami.
