「Great place with wonderful staff.」

「Abbiamo soggiornato al Golden Fern Resort per due notti, per visitare Shimla. L'hotel si trova fuori dal centro, sulla strada che porta verso la località montana. La posizione è buona ma un po' isolata rispetto ad altri servizi (ristoranti, locali, attrazioni, ecc) che devono essere tutti raggiunti in macchina, traffico permettendo, perché nelle "ore di punta" è abbastanza difficoltoso muoversi sulle strade montane. Lo staff ci ha accolto in maniera impeccabile e si sono sempre occupati di noi...

「I loved the experience. The staff very helpful specially lakshay at front desk. He allowed us to do early check in because they had the room available. I liked the food we ordered. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It’s in main Shimla. Few steps away from Oberoi Cecil. We took the room with valley view and really enjoyed the stay. I love the architecture of the property. The way it’s built is cute and impressive. 」

「The hotel is located c!ose to the Mall area which is in walking distance. If other factors addressed price would be reasonable. Good views from deluxe rooms. However, this hotel has some serious issues to be addressed. 1. Rooms are not clean 2. Bathroom is old and some functional issues..sinks blocks 3. Staff try their best to help. But they could be more welcoming and seem to be poorly trained. At reception whilst dealing with one customer they start to serve another !eaving the first customer...

「Fantastic location but very difficult to find as Hotels.com reported it as being in Shimla, rather than the reality of being 20km distant. Also not so impressed after difficult 16 hour journey from Delhi (holiday traffic and minor landslips following monsoon rain) to be told at midnight by reception that there was no booking. Strength of following 'discussion' eventually proved we did indeed have a booking. Rooms and hotel facilities very tired now when once must have been special. But still...

「Booked the better range of rooms (Super Deluxe) in this mountain resort hotel. Upon arrival, discovered it is a budget hotel. Staff showed us to a room with a view of - a wall. When we protested, he showed us to a room in what was the lowest level, but with a decent view. Breakfast commenced at 0830 (sunrise is at 0530). It was included, so we waited. It comprised chappati (Indian bread), slices of plain white bread, melted butter in a common tin bowl and some slime masquerading as jam, also in...

「First They said, they don't book through expedia. Then they moved me some other location in Kufri which 1.25 hour apart. After 1 day stay, they said, I have to move further. then I canceled my stay after spending 3 hours on call with Expedia and Hotel sales team. 」

「Muy mala experiencia, personal descortés y nada amigable. La habitación era doble y sólo había toallas y jabón para una persona. Shimla es muy frío por la noche y NO hay calefacción si no pagas extra, con ventanas y puertas donde entra el frío. Sólo había una manta y al pedir una más, se negaron a darla. La reserva incluía 'desayuno inglés' y nos pusieron un huevo frito y unas tostadas de mantequilla, nada que ver con lo que uno espera de un 'desayuno inglés'」
