Spectacular house!
What an amazing house! It had won awards for its restoration and it's truly beautiful. The space is enormous, yet there are many cosy corners too. The main bedroom suite has a bigger floor plan than our whole house in the UK! The house has everything you could need for a stay. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and everything you need for your comfort is provided, from a welcome basket with tea/coffee/milk/biscuits etc , to a fridge with sherry and olives. The showers are powerful and hot. There is a lovley roof terrace with sun loungers , which has the most spectacular view of the sunset every evening. The location is excellent too, situated on the Upper Town, close to bodegas and bars but less than 15 minutes walk to the beach and the bustling centre . The market is 5 minutes away and there you can find a wonderful selection of local produce. We bought enough clams, langoustines and prawns for a feast for five people and it was less than €25. The best restaurant in town (El Espejo) is two doors away.the tasting menu is superb. The owner is super helpful and always responded very quickly to any queries. The house is kept very clean by the wonderful Maria José, who met us when we arrived and came during our stay to clean and tidy, change beds and towels etc. She is a miracle worker. I highly recommend this stunning property.

The best place we ever rented!
An unique experience. Very traditional Spanish townhouse very nicely decorated. The house has lots of space making it ideal for a family/friends as everyone can find their own space without getting on top of each other. The location is very good too, right at the centre, 20 minutes stroll to the beach. Thanks Angeles and Elisabeth from David, Marisa and family

Authentic Andalusian House
Thank you for a wonderful experience in your house. We were preparing for a big event in Sanlucar and working in the upstairs patio with the sounds of birds singing and the open atrium was amazing. We loved all the nooks and crannies of the house with the stunning views from the roof. We wished we could have spent more time lounging in the open courtyard but unfortunately were very busy with our event. The location directly above the market was wonderful and Sanlucar de Barrameda is a charming town with generous and friendly people, good food (we loved Casa Perico and Bar Barbiana) and a gorgeous beach front. Thank you again for a memorable stay.

Lovely old house, full of character, everything you need and conveniently located
We visited in October 2018; the owner helped us organise taxi transfer from Jerez which was both very convenient and excellent value. The owner was very helpful. We loved the house for it's interesting interior and the amount of space. If you like old things and a bit of history, this place is perfect. There are several different sitting areas, for meals, socialising and relaxing. Breakfast looking out over the courtyard is lovely (there are pastry, bread and grocery shops in walking distance) A glass of manzanilla, watching the sunset from the roof terrace is a must! There is a tv room on the roof area, idea for an early morning read or an afternoon siesta. Sanlucar itself is great; you are already in it's historic centre and it is a short walk to the main squares, full of restaurants and bars - we ate very well - don't miss the ice cream. There is plenty to do, we visited a bodega, swam from the local beach, went to a Flamenco performance, took a boat trip landing in Donana National Park and visited historical attractions. We also took the public buses to Cadiz and Jerez. The tourist office is very helpful, both ahead of your trip and when you are there. We didn't have a car; once you are there, everything is accessible, provided you don't mind walking. Overall, Sanlucar has bags of interest and character, without being too big, you feel you can really get to know it in a relatively short time. A great trip.

Traditional, charming and relaxing
We had a wonderful week's stay in this charming, beautifully decorated period Andalusian house. We were keen not to stay in a faceless modern apartment and this house ticked all of the boxes - plenty of space, wonderful patio with an extraordinary array of plants, dining area with plenty of utensils and fridge space, clean bathrooms and a lovely friendly housekeeper who arrived every morning to keep the place looking perfect. Our 18-month old son loved having run of the house and his parents and grandparents were able to have their own space without being on top of each other but with plenty of places to socialise and eat. A particular highlight is the roof terrace with plenty of chairs and loungers, a tv room to retreat into when the sun got too hot, and sunset views over the water in the evening. The location could not be better placed for all of the bodegas in the centre of the barrio alto district; the beach is pleasant 15-20 minute walk away through the town square, and the unexpected bonus was free use of an underground parking space nearby which certainly tests your hire-car manoeuvring skills to avoid scrapes! The owner went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed, including providing a cot and highchair without charge or fuss, and checking that we were OK during the week. The town of Sanlucar is welcoming and friendly, with a great local square a couple of minutes' walk away with a number of restaurants serving fabulous authentic food which is of exceptional value. Thank you for really making our holiday. We would all highly recommend this place and would very much like to return soon.

Superb!
This is advertised as a "Typical Andalusian House" but there is nothing ordinary about this property. It is stunning, spacious and beautifully decorated. We visited Sanlucar de Barrameda from Canada to meet up with UK family for a wedding in Sanlucar. Everyone who visited us in the house, including a Spanish friend, was thrilled to be able to tour such a beautiful, traditional home. We rented at the end of October and I was a bit worried the open courtyard, with the sitting room just off it, would be cold but it was perfect. We had no need to use the heating. The bedrooms were spacious and all had closets. The kitchen was well equipped and had absolutely everything. There was a table in the kitchen and a lovely outdoor eating area just off the kitchen, overlooking the courtyard below. The huge roof area with loungers and shade and sunny areas also gave great views over the town. We arrived extremely late after GPS problems but the host was very patient and arranged for someone to be there when we arrived after midnight. Elizabet, the housekeeper was so helpful and kept everything spotless on her two-hour visit each weekday. (Included in the rental price). The underground parking was about a six or seven minute walk away and was wide enough (unlike many Spanish parking spaces) that we didn't have to worry about door dings. The house is in the town's old quarter and just a short walk into the main square and lots of fun little stores. I'm told Sanlucar is where the Spanish vacation and we really enjoyed it's authentic, lively atmosphere. I would LOVE to be able to rent this property again. It way exceeded my expectations.
