"We (small family from USA) arrived for our first time in Kyoto and felt like we were taking a chance on this house rental. We realized immediately how lucky we were to get to stay here. The home is absolutely beautiful, clean, quiet, charming, and in a wonderful location in the Gion district, close to lots of sites, restaurants, shops, and old world charm. "My favorite part about this ryokan is that you can visit many landmarks by walking, one of which is Kiyomizu-dera. The ryokan is located within a picturesque part of Kyoto. It's a 20 minute walk from the nearest train and 5 minutes from a bus stop. The staff were nice and understood English. You can request dietary needs for your included traditional breakfast. "Great place to stay, in Kyoto, is a bit of a walk from the nearest bus and not close to many train lines, so your stuck taking the overly packed 206 bus. The place was nice, lots of space luggage. Laundry situation was good, however there wasn’t any laundry soap, or hand soap. Dishes could be purchased I believe through the hotel. All in all I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Kyoto."
