Family of four traveling for an overnight spring break getaway. What I liked: property was clean, ideally located, excellent price point, respectful neighbors/fellow travelers. What I disliked: check-in was confusing (the fine print indicated I would need to present a physical credit card to someone on-site, however there is no on-site staff), first code did not work so I had to call for another. Once inside, the room is not as listed on VRBO- it's a king sized bed and a queen sized couch, not a queen sized bed. The VRBO listing seems intentionally deceptive. There was also no washer/dryer or dishwasher as indicated in the listing. The bathroom door would not close in our first room, so we were moved to a second room. The second room did not have the blankets for the queen sized couch, and the smoke alarm was chirping, so we were moved to a third room. The third room was missing the dining table, so we took matters into our own hands and gathered blankets from the first room and took the battery out of the funtioning smoke alarm in the third room and made the most out of the second room. All was well until the battery died in the smoke alarm again around 2:30 in the morning. Luckily, the codes for the unacceptable rooms still worked so we were again able to take care of ourselves using the resources at hand. With better transparency in the listing, clarity regarding check-in, and attention to detail in the rooms, this could be a 5 star stay.
