"We really had a wonderful stay at Shutters on the Banks! We truly enjoyed the area, especially because it is so close to Jockey's Ridge State Park. We were pleasantly surprised when the hotel put a “Happy Anniversary” message on their signage outside. When we arrived, our room was very clean, well prepared, and the staff even left us a sweet anniversary card, which made our stay feel extra special. We also loved the room they gave us. The balcony was the perfect place to sit and wait for the sunrise over the ocean. Unfortunately, the two mornings we stayed were rainy and cloudy, so we did not get the chance to actually see the sunrise, but it was still such a relaxing and beautiful spot to enjoy the view. The staff were all very kind and welcoming, and the breakfast was decent as well. We are not heavy breakfast eaters, but we definitely enjoyed the coffee every morning. Overall, we had a great experience staying at Shutters on the Banks, and we would like to thank the staff for making our anniversary stay so happy and memorable! "

"Colonial Inn is always a launching point for our OBX trip. They are affordable and convenient for a Friday night stay on the way further south for a following week. We appreciate that they don’t require a 2 night stay and use them regularly as a result."
