"The Cross Hotel is a perfect place to stay in Kyoto! It was our first visit to Kyoto and Japan and we started here. It in a quiet but centrally located place. We met in the lobby with coffee and a view of their Zen garden and a quaint traditional Japanese street. The river is nearby, Starbucks and wonderful restaurants, shopping. It was easy to get help from the friendly staff, our rooms at The Cross Hotel were large and comfortable, bathroom also."

"Hotel was great. Rooms are just about the right size. Very organized small space to not feel cramped. Great amenities. Buffet is excellent and varied for breakfast or dinner. Free movies on a big tv. Onsen mens or ladies only spas is fantastic. Clean facility and hot tubs or pools of varying temperatures. We will visit again. Great location above central metro station to easily get around and only 5 stops from Shinkansen train station. "

"The property is really clean, nice and well kept. Staff are nice but need to learn more English to accommodate tourists. I’m glad I purchased the dinner and breakfast with my booking accommodations as there are no restaurants close by. We enjoyed our experience with Japanese traditional dinner and breakfast. The food was good and the presentation is impeccable. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will recommend this place to others."
