First, we rent several cabins and typically chose one at a remote location. This was definitely remote which we loved. Unfortunately, a storm came through knocking a tree and power line down. We were unable to access the property until 6:30pm (at no fault of the owner). When I called the property manager Regsrdung the tree being down, I was told they could not help us to call Stephanie who cleans the home. She was great, helpful and return our calls.
Stephanie did inform us that while we gained access there was no power and because there was a well we would not have water until the power was restored. No worries, we can ruff it for a bit.
We tuffed it out and left the next morning at 9am for the day hoping it would be restored. Here’s where it gets aggravating:
At 12 we called the property manager, she was less than helpful. No ETA on power outage. We asked for options should the power/water not be restored, which she had none. We also asked about a reimbursement and explained again we had no toilets or showers, no power and had our 6 year old. Her response was “I’m not sure what you want me to do about it.” We were livid at this point. She stated she would call the power company and ask a status and call back. Two days later and she’s yet to call.
We luckily still had Stephanie’s number and called her in the afternoon since we had no response from the property manager. Stephanie again was great and called the power company and got back to us soon after.
The issue we have is that the property manager offer no solution or help, she was flat out rude to speak with which is why we will never rent from this company again. Being in management, you should offer a solution and sympathy.
Now about the home. The sofa bed is broken and unusable. Mattresses are old and extremely noisey. You can only run one shower or dish washer at a time. I’d you turn anything else on the water completely stops running.
