Booked this hotel was very last minute as our flight was delayed. Excellent hotel all around. Clean, beautiful, staff are all professional and helpful. They even gave a plate of fruits. The general manager called and asked how my room was after I checked in, and helped me schedule a taxi to the airport the next day. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Shenzhen Sunshine Hotel for 3 nights earlier this month. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, but one incident at the restaurant left us extremely disappointed and humiliated. On check-in, the receptionist offered a discount for meals if paid a day in advance. I paid cash for two people the first day, then again the next day for our final lunch. I didn’t ask for a receipt, trusting the hotel to link it to our room. On our last day, when we arrived to eat, a young male server rudely told us we hadn’t paid. He spoke loudly, causing a scene in front of other guests. I explained we paid in cash and even suggested checking the cameras. He refused to believe us and insisted there was only one payment. I asked for the manager. The manager arrived and, without asking any questions, said “Let them eat,” clearly more concerned with stopping the scene than solving the issue. I told him it wasn’t about the money—it was about being treated with respect. We felt humiliated and left without eating. I left a note and my contact info in our room. I strongly urge hotel management to investigate the situation—check the payment records and review the cameras. This experience was unacceptable. Guests deserve to be treated fairly and with dignity. If you pay in cash at the restaurant, please ask for a receipt.

Ordered a city view room, got a no view (a big wall in front of the window)room , plus the window was broken. Front desk staff told us their system didn’t show we booked city view room at first, after I opened hotel.com app to show them, they changed a much better room.finally we got our room at 4:00pm, check in suppose at 2 PM. A staff helped us to got a ride on the check out day, moved our luggage’s to the ride’s pick up area, it was a big help.

This so-called 5-star hotel feels outdated and poorly maintained. The rooms and facilities are old, with noticeable dirt and a lingering smoke smell throughout.
