Really nice staff, bar/lounge area and rooms. Ideal for a night or 2 if you are visiting the local area for sight seeing etc. Shepton mallet high street is about 10-15 minute walk away although it is uphill. Taxis where hard to get although could have just been the time of day on the weekend.

We really enjoyed our two-night stay at the Horseshoe Inn. Jamie was welcoming and the room was clean and spacious. The food was also incredible! You can tell it’s home cooked and fresh. All the previous reviews I read are true. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

10/10. Wonderful staff that really went above and beyond to accommodate us quote last minute. Quality food, reasonably priced beverages, and great conversation from the staff. The room was comfortable, and given the price I couldn’t have dreamt of any more. Very appreciative of Jaimie’s efforts to accommodate us.

Hi Jamie is a lovely young lady that runs the pub. Very helpful. The property is an old pub. There’s homemade food but no breakfast. But up the hill is a great cafe called The Hive. Unfortunately due to the heat we had to have window wide open, the problem is that it’s a is a busy road and therefore you hear lots of traffic noise even late at night . The bedroom 2 has a blind on back wall that lets light in from hall way .( I personally would block ) The shared bathroom needs some work ( note the floorboards by toilet / sink . The bathroom window are not opaque so could do with replacement glazing if you are concerned about potentially being seen from outside or opposite house . This is a lovely location for the small town . I wish Jamie all the best and am not trying to to offend , just giving you some feedback.

QUite old fashioned and our room smelled of wet dog, which was off-putting. Bed was really not good quality or comfortable, it was more like a water bed. Amenities are basic and sharign one bathrom between at least 6 rooms is not great. The woman beind the bar was lovely and friendly, but apart from that it was very average I'm afraid.

Very friendly welcome and a nice meal on my arrival. Pleased to be upgraded to a private en suite. The staff had turned up the heat in my room which was a lovely thought BUT I couldn’t find a way to turn it down (and I have operated radiators in my time). Room was quirky, which I don’t mind, but one thing I spoils suggest is that the mattress is changed. Way too thin, and definitely not very comfortable! Other than that, it was just what I needed for a quick sleepover before seeing my son the day after.

The lady who checked me in was excellent, very courteous and helpful. Amenities were very good, and room was clean. Bed was comfortable, my pillow was too soft, but that is a personal observation and choice. Overall an excellent choice!!
