"We've stayed at White Sands Retreat twice. It's in a perfect location for us. Access to Simpson Bay beach is on the less used side so it feels more casual and personable. Check-in is easy. We have everything we need for us and our daughter, including beach chairs and an umbrella. We could stay in and cook a few times, as we do. Air Con works just fine. It's very comfortable for a couple and an adult daughter. Not posh, butwe're not fancy people."

"We stayed in this beautiful, spacious, 2-bedroom Beacon Hill condo with a view of Simpson Bay & steps to the ocean for 5 nights. We love the location; enjoyed watching the takeoffs and landings from the condo and nearby Maho beach. Good restaurants close by, or the French side. Just 2 of us, but easily space for 4. Needs an extra set of keys, definitely an exta door key given the locking & unlocking protocol, particularly if 2-3 couples stay here. Lock box is very tricky to work- difficult to pull down the small lever. Condo needs room darkening window treatments as outside lighting is always on. You will be seen in the oceanside bedrrom & living room at night if the lights are on. Full, retractable window coverage in the living room would be good. I would visit again."

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay. St. Maarten overall is absolutely beautiful! It was truly a 10 out of 10 experience. We stayed at the Sonesta Ocean Point View - Adult Only, which was the best decision! It was more peaceful, the rooms were nicer & spacious, and we enjoyed the Adult Only restaurants. We loved that we had access to everything!! We definitely believe paying extra to be on the Adult-Only side is 100% worth it! The Staff members greeted us upon arrival, they gave us a welcome drink, we checked-in early for free, had no issues checking-in and checking-out, there were no additional fees besides the security deposit hold ($50 per night of stay and you get it back with no incidents / damage)! The amenities, food, drinks, and entertainment were also great! We highly recommend their Spa. The Ocean front couples massage and classic facial was a 10 out of 10 experience! The Spa Staff is amazing!!! Our only con was: Front desk staff & restaurant staff members energy level is kind of mid. They didn’t have high energy, smile, nor engage from time to time. I also highly recommend getting a private taxi driver before your trip, it made everything super smooth for us! Overall, we loved it and would go back! Thank you Expedia!"
