“Simple self check in into a narrow hall way leading up some stairs to get to the rooms. This area was will lit and secure. The room itself was well equipped with fridge/freezer microwave kettle etc and fresh milk and bottled water was left in the fridge. Two wall mounted TV's with working remotes and cutlery and pots etc all available. Comfy bed with towels provided for the lovely bathroom with walk in shower. All in all everything you need for a short stay away.”

“We were welcomed and showed where to park. Went in and the lady welcomed us and showed us around and then took us up to our room.. A beautiful place all round. Spacious, clean and well lit room with tea making facilities (which we appreciate so much). Comfortable bed, nice shower and very yummy breakfast. “Lovely well appointed room. We stayed in the Parc room. Tastefully decorated with nice views of the mountains surrounding this small Welsh town nestled in beautiful mountainous countryside. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Special thanks to Callum for his help. My husband sings with the world famous Treorchy Male Choir which hadca Christmas concert that evening. We decided to stay so that we could enjoy the choir's "afterglow". Excellent stay, excellent evening. ”

“What a lovely place to stay, we stayed for one night and I wish it could have been longer! The room was incredibly spacious and so was the bathroom, the location was perfect and communication from the owners was brilliant. They were especially helpful when I called with a question. Although there’s no parking on site, we found a parking spot just down the road so no issue at all. I’d certainly recommend staying here! ”

LV 72 was built in 1903 by John Crown & Sons of Sunderland for Trinity House. Her hull is made of iron and, during World War 2, she was involved in the D Day landings. She was sold out of service in 1973 to Steel Supply Co., Neath for scrapping. When sold she was the oldest vessel in the Trinity House fleet. She was later considered for conversion to a floating night club but the project did not go ahead. She is now on a mud berth on the River Neath in poor condition.
