「No sea view balcony even after selecting it sea view room, my neighbour had one though. Paid a premium for this view and did not get one. Flooding shower and sink drains. Safe was malfunctioning and did not match instructions. Everything else fine, but will avoid in future.」

「We stayed at Alkyon Hotel for 3 nights before travelling on to Skopelos and I couldn’t recommend this hotel more! It was so convenient being 5 minutes drive from the airport and on the sea front. It was less than 5 minutes walk from the main strip of restaurants along the front of the port but slightly out of the main town area so was quiet at night. 「Amazing staff who were very pleasant and happy to help. We were picked up from the airport by Diamond (not sure if that’s spelt correctly) who drove us straight to the hotel. We had a gorgeous town view, which was breathtaking. The room was well equipped and exactly as described. Breakfast was basic but plentiful and tasty and was taken on the roof terrace, which had equally lovely views. Much recommended for a short stay in Skiathos town.」

「We loved our stay here the front desk staff was helpful especially with navigating the bus routes! Our room was beautiful. There was easy access to a very nice beach. There were a couple restaurant options within walking distance on the beach. It’s about at 20 minute walk to old town Skiathos or a quick bus route from stop 5 to stop 0. Breakfast was okay for a breakfast buffet.」

「We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Rene. We arrived much later than planned but were welcomed so graciously and even made some food. The rooms, with fantastic air conditioning, and grounds were spotless because they were cleaned every day. ALL staff were friendly and approachable. Sunbeds, swimming and restaurant area were all well maintained. Beach and town centre all within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.」

「We stayed here a few weeks ago just for 1 night and it was wonderful. The room was spacious for 4 people and had an amazing view with a balcony. Breakfast and pool were great. They even had a shower in the lobby if you wanted to use the pool after check out. Walking distance to the beach. Would definitely stay here again! Things to note: its up on a hill so walking could be tricky for people with mobility issues. Also check the hours of the pool because the pool closed for cleaning before the...

「Wardrobe had a light in which kept clicking all night keeping us awake. People outside the hotel used the pool and beach seats making it difficult to get a seat. We did not get to go around the pool. Food choice was very poor if you are a vegetarian. Had the poorest food ever in Skiathos around the pool bar - tasteless chicken and cod bites. 「Staff was very friendly and view from our small but clean, comfortable room was amazing! The downside is that you have to haul your luggage up an old stone walkway and staircase to check in at The Water hotel. Unfortunately, our bags were 50 lbs (23kg) each. Luckily, a staffer offered to take them the rest of the way to our room at The Rock, which is more old stone stairs up to an old stone walkway away. There are no elevators. 「Our AC didn’t work and the staff knew that and put is in the room. When we asked for help to turn on the AC we were told there’s an issue with the AC in our room and they can’t do anything about it that night. It would’ve been nice to be put in a room that had AC」
