Stay in Sofia
The apartment was very clean when we got there. All the amenities are modern and work great. We felt very safe and secure within the apartment. The toilet is really close to the wall in front of it so not ideal for tall people. It's a 5 minute walk to the #8 train that brings you right into the heart of the city. It's also a 5 minute walk to the Lidl supermarket and a great bar/restaurant called Limonadite that I highly recommend. The neighborhood isn't exactly the best. The train and taxi both stop going there after it gets dark so you want to make sure to plan ahead and get back to the apartment around sunset. Sofia is a wonderful city that everyone should visit, I will definitely be back again hopefully sooner rather than later!
