"Fantastic location just a short walk from a small beach. I came here with my elderly mom and aunt who was visiting from abroad. We booked the suite which was very spacious but definitely bare bones. Do not expect a luxury stay. Considering the peak season (June) the room was decently priced at around $300 per night (keep in mind the suite, the standard rooms were about $100 less). Great view of the lake from the balcony. The real hit was the Mexican restaurant next door, which not only has great food at reasonable prices, but also allowed me to enjoy some World Cup action while my mom and aunt shopped and went on a boat tour. Would stay again, but if space is not a concern, would book a standard room. They do have a small pool which is nice if you're going to bring the little ones."
"Hotel staff are very friendly and willing to assist with customers, thank you! Only negative is no self parking and only valet parking is offered at this hotel."
"The Station Inn was an excellent accommodation due to the little time we had in planning it. It is a great location; near Lakeside beach ( if you want to pay to use the beach, I don't recommend when there are free beaches to the lake). You can walk to stores and local brewery restaurants. The bike path is accessible. We chartered a boat to fish near Ski Marina near Heavenly, it was close proxemity.
The rooms were very comfortable and clean. There were space for our bikes and luggage.
The staff were fair, we were not offered the free drinks and other perks that were offered to other guests. We were informed from other guests. When I asked, the young staff member did apologize for not offering or providing us any information on using the restaurant or the Lakeside vouchers available for guests.
The parking in front of room 177 were only for compact cars. The parking was available for our truck. Overall we had a wonderful time in South Lake Tahoe. We will be returning!"
"We loved this property for visit South Lake Tahoe. We had a large group with kids and had a blast. Pool is large and four hot tubs! Also, right next to Heavenly village. Perfect central location. Definitely returning."
"A nice accomodation very clean comfortable large bathtoom. Good beds. Breakfast buffet not included but available for an additional $20 per person. Exterior and grounds could use some updating. Nice pool area."
