We were looking for a beach house with a pool and we got it!! Big, lovely home. Amazing views. Master bedroom could use a new matress. Upstairs furniture needs cleaning. Walking distance to several restaurants.

Wonderful location! We really enjoyed the private pool and being steps to the beach. The only downfall was that the next door neighbor was having a pool installed during our stay. The constant construction noise was a little disruptive to our "vacation mode". Other than that, we will definitely return to the Good Hope House!

It was the property i was looking for right at the beach. Only issue was there was construction on the condo next door, kids weren't able to take a nap after the beach. Dust kept blowing to the pool had to wait for them to leave. Other then that it was good

Has great access to the beach. Easy to move back and forth between the beach and house with our kids. (ages 9-9months) The pool was cleaned while we were there and we were able to switch out towels which was nice.

Best beach house!

This cozy townhome was just perfect for us. The private beach access was amazing. We were steps away from the sand. When the beach became too much we were able to walk back and relax our own pool. The house was cleaned very well. I would for sure rent this place again.

Bright, clean and delightful. Direct access to the beach for kids and family is wonderful experience for 'inlanders'. Open kitchen and living areas are great for family and friends, with the marvelous view !

We had a great experience at South Padre Island staying at this location. The beach access is incredible. Only downside was that the house(condo) does need some work for its price level but in its own way, it had that used beach house vibe to it. The pool is great and we used it often. Definitely a place to consider for future SPI trips.

Cozy pool with quick walk to beach. The living room and kitchen overlook a fantastic ocean view. The sound of the waves is very soothing. The house was super clean and comfortable. The 14 year old says: The air conditioner kept us cool, the outside was the Sahara Desert and the inside was the Himalayas (in a good way)

Great location!

The place is in a great location. Love that the kitchen was fully equipped from cups to even a vase, which we needed since my brother had gotten my mother some roses for her bday. It was quiet since no one was renting either condo to the sides. Only thing is that they main downstairs bedroom would do much better with no carpet since it looks like its been traipsed on a lot but other than that it's a very nice place.

Excellent except for pool man incident

We were very happy with the place. Almost gave it a 5 star but was very unhappy with the “pool man” not knocking on the door to say he was coming into private property nor presenting himself when I repeatedly asked him who he was and why he was there. He didn’t have a uniform nor was he carrying pool equipment. It is very unprofessional and unsafe to send somebody unannounced and during somebody’s stay. They could’ve programmed the cleaning when nobody was there or simply knocking on the door and saying he was the poolman and presenting his credentials. We had children and could have easily been somebody pretending to be a pool man. I tried calling SPI rentals or the owner but had a very hard time communicating with them.

I cannot rave about this vacation home enough! It has everything one would need and want for an inviting, relaxing and exciting time away from home. A fully stocked kitchen, bright bathrooms, comfy, happy, beautifully decorated spacious bedrooms and living areas, excellent lighting in every room, and that AWESOME pool overlooking the ocean which was literally our "backyard" to enjoy any time we wanted to. First floor or second floor, the views were to die for!!! Garage full of pool toys, kites and a grill. Communication was A++, extremely helpful with a lost item, kind and hospitable and answered every question we had. We literally had an absolute blast here, highly recommended!

Fun with water

Location was as pictured. A short path to the beach, and a private pool. The pool entrance is off the master which is a bit awkward, but workable, just be prepared for everyone traipsing thru the master to get to the pool or beach. The pool is fun and gets some really nice afternoon shade. The master has a large walkin closet and bathroom. There is also a smaller bathroom and bedroom on the bottom floor. The view from the upstairs livingroom and deck is spectacular. The living/dining/kitchen area are very spacious. Great place to relax amd enjoy the water.

Great location, needs some updates

The property was in a great location and had everything we needed for our stay. Kitchen was well-equipped but I would suggest adding a toaster and maybe a blender. On the downside, the furniture was tired looking and stained. The carpet, while vacuumed, was full of stains and looked filthy. Showers had dirt or mold in the grout. The place generally needs some updates inside and out as well as some maintenance. Overall, the property is comfortable and in a great location but is quite tired looking.

Outdated Home

The carpets are horrible. We will never rent this house again. You don’t even want to take off your shoes to step on the carpet. The stains are soo bad and all over the carpet. The Tv in the living room is way too small. None of the rooms have TVs. The bathroom in the hallway doesn’t lock so you can’t use it comfortably. Washer and dryer are really old.

Ok with the potential to be REALLY nice...

Let me start off by saying, this property is in a perfect spot right on the beach. It's got its own great little pool with a waterfall and the inside is nicely kept. Having said that, you can tell IMMEDIATELY that this is owned by a company and not some couples property. This property is so outdated and upgrades are FAR overdue. If somebody would just take the time to upgrade fixtures, clean up debris and give this place a thorough cleaning, this place could be so good. One weird thing is that the kitchen is upstairs and the only way to get through the pool is through the master bedroom.
