"Although we had a great time in Destin, our stay at TownPlace Suites was not the greatest. We arrived around 10 minutes before check in time and were greeted by an empty front desk. After a few minutes a girl walked up and check us in, she basically told us we're lucky to get a room as check in usually can be as late as 8pm since rooms are often not ready or available?!? The room itself was mostly clean, the carpet looked like it needed to be vacuumed. During our 5 night stay they did not even come in to clean once! We had to ask for toiletries and towels multiple times during our stay. The hallways and elevators were also in desperate need of a good cleaning and vacuuming! The cherry on top was that I had beach chairs & umbrella rental delivered to the hotel, the rental company left it eights outside my door. 10 minutes later they went missing! There were 2 employees on my floor, so I went up & asked if they had seen them, they both denied seeing anything or anyone. I then went down to the front desk, they advised me to check outside, it was not there. I asked the front desk if they could check cameras, she then radios the other employees asking if they've seen anything. Well to my surprise, the same employee who previously told me he hasn't seen them comes running telling the front desk that he 'found' them! I don't want to accuse but I found this VERY suspicious. All in all I will choose another location for my next stay in Destin."

"Its crazy to have the staff use the same elevator as the guests. Especially in the morning, when guests are checking out, going to breakfast, and u have cleaning crews with big carts trying to use the same elevator. Have them come in earlier or later after beast checkout time. It was crazy this morning going to eat breakfast and then trying to check out. Every elevator had a cleaning crew, with a large basket, and guests had to wait a long time for a elevator."

"I had an issue with whatever was above my room! I called downstairs to reception three different times the first night at 6pm and 1am the second night at midnight as it sounded like Bigfoot was above my room. When I called the lady advised she would take care of it and clearly that was not the case. They also would not change my room even when I asked. during checkout I made the daytime receptionist know and she advised me that she most likely never called the other room or did anything and to reach out to Expedia. Well guess what I reached out to Expedia and they contacted the property and they told Expedia I never made any concerns or called! Um excuse me yes I did I called downstairs three times and asked for a room change! But yet you can’t accommodate a guest and have to lie about it! Won’t be staying there again as their customer service is horrible and they lie!"
