“Had an amazing stay at stairway to Devon. Nathan and Helen are fantastic hosts from start to finish. The cabin is stunning with all the added extras that make it special. The cabin is immaculate with everything you need for your stay. I think the local cider and homemade chocolate brownies was a really nice touch. If you are looking for a relaxing retreat with your partner with amazing views of the countryside then this is the place for you. Will definitely be back. Our two chocolate Labradors……

“If you are walking the Tarka Trail, actually even if you are not, this is the place to stay. The setting is idyllic the hosts are so welcoming and helpful and the lodge is well equipped. ”

“Very cozy cottage, well equipped, very quiet area. 5 min walk to a local pub - food and drink. Lots of small villages with local shops (bakers, butchers, delis, etc.) to explore close by. Lot of walking trails. Parking was easy. Check in and out were simply and without hassle.”

“Clean room, tons of space, friendly staff, great location, no complaints at all. Only area of improvement is the parking situation, both how limited it is (understandable due to the area) and the fact it is chargeable, outside of that an outstanding hotel which we will definitely visit again.”

“Lovely cottage , great location for north & south Devon , Somerset & Dorset too . No where seems to far away . Garden is great , huge and secure for the dogs . No noise from neighbours , so the garden is very peaceful . Cottage has everything you would want , for humans and the dogs .Beds are huge & comfortable too. Only negative for us was no toilet upstairs but 2 good size bathroom / toilets downstairs . Owners are contactable by email if you need them , and Martin responds asap to your……

“This property was all you could ask for in cleanliness and presentation. The host was friendly and helpful.The only downside for us was that in the details online stairs and steepness were not mentioned. The garden was beautiful but the two of us have mobility issues and we found that and the stairs to shower room difficult. So maybe update details to include a mention of this. Otherwise the place and hosts were wonderful.”
