"Great venue and enthusiastic staff, clean rooms and attached to a pub that sells real beer!! Lots of tired hotels in Worthing, the Railway Hotel is not one of them . Ideal location for hospital visits or the town centre it’s literally 75 meters from the railway station. Great place "

"The staff at dinner and breakfast were attentive, polite and friendly. Customers vaping in the bar area while we were having dinner was disgusting. Presume local customers as appeared familiar with each other and bar staff. Conversation was loud and included some homophobic language which was disgraceful. The room first impression was the carpet hadn’t been hoovered. An old building with charm but in need of maintenance. Last time we stayed 3 years ago, I reported the issue on the stairs with treads that move and poorly fitted carpet. This was still the case and there is nothing to warn visitors of this potential risk. We both took a stumble on the third step during this visit. Terrible night with little sleep. Travelled from Wales for family event and drove back the following day. Needed a good rest, which I did not get! Stayed in the ‘Persian …’ room. From 9.30 -12.00 outside our room noise from bar staff emptying glass bottles, moving kegs, banging on doors and shouting through window below. From 12-2.30 playing TV loud and talking loudly - originally thought this noise was coming from downstairs as well but turned out to be from another room. Might have got 2hours sleep but this was far from good enough! No one to complain to at this time and even the phone in the room had no wires to connect it, so just there for decoration I guess. "

The room was nice however I would say the food is good but overpriced and the bar prices are extremely expensive for a rural bed-and-breakfast, almost 8 pounds for a pint of lager seems excessive. £14 for a full English breakfast with one egg, one rasher of bacon, and one sausage But overall, a nice location and a nice little hotel"

"I'm only giving it 3 stars because the accommodation was not how I understood it to be. The accommodation is clean and modern and the host very welcoming.Due to the wording in the description, I thought I was staying in an apartment within a townhouse that consisted of the bedroom, 2 bathrooms (one of which was not en-suite so was shared among us), kitchen, balcony and parking.The description of the host being a welcoming family with a dog, I thought was the simply part of the hosts profile. This property is actually a room and en-suite on the ground level of the family's home, with the bathroom upstairs to be shared by others in the home. My husband is allergic to dogs and I am scared, so the dog (even though it was upstairs and we never saw it) was a problem for us. Also parking was to be paid for, it was cheap enough, but not free.If the above suits you then I would recommend."

"The house is perfect and very well prepared and presented. Great location with walks in the countryside from the house. Warm and comfortable. The games room is really welcome and well set up. Easy to find tucked away between lovely Sussex villages. "

"We had an excellent week at the Shoreline Hideaway visiting family and exploring the south coast. Although we had a car, we took advantage of the bus that passes the property to get to Brighton for the day to avoid the traffic and parking. There is easy access to the beach via a lane just across the road and a nice walk to the Perch restaurant. The property was clean and is well equipped. It’s spacious with the bedroom at the rear, away from the occasionally busy road. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well - so important when traveling!"
