Beautiful barn conversion, close to Mevagissey, Portmellon and the SW Coast path
Set on the beautiful, unspoilt Cornish coast in the grounds of Penwarne Manor is a collection of lovingly converted barns. The South Barn is one of five, Grade II listed stone cottages, renovated to a high standard.
Penwarne Manor nestles, secluded in the Portmellon valley and yet less than a mile from Mevagissey. An historic fishing village with plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants.
It's just a 10 minute walk to the beach at Portmellon with the newly renovated Rising Sun pub, coffee shack and paddle board and kayak hire shop.
Close to The Lost Gardens of Heligan, and The Eden Project. You can get the ferry to Fowey and hopefully spot some dolphins, drive along the Roseland Peninsular and visit the many beaches along the way. The North Coast is only a short drive away if you fancy trying surfing.

We enjoyed a 5 days break at the Barn in July - The communication from Vicky and Nathan prior to our stay and arrival instructions were excellent. The accommodation was very comfortable with comfy beds, good showers, nice bed linen and towels and we were impressed by the generous welcome pack and homemade cake. Our grown up kids enjoyed playing table tennis on site and we had a couple of swims in Portmellon. The Barn is well located for Mevagissy, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project. We had a great week in this beautiful part of Cornwall.

Une vraie parenthèse confortable
Le séjour s’est très bien déroulé. Si on a un peu galère pour trouver, un appel aux propriétaires a rapidement réglé le problème. Le logement est très confortable et la situation permet le calme et le repos.

Marvelous time in Mevagissey
The cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was close enough to town to walk (15 minutes) yet far enough away to enjoy the quiet country side. The cottage is also accessible without going through the center of town, which you will appreciate if you are driving anything larger than a motorcycle! The cottage had everything you need! Vicky and Nathan are wonderful hosts and will ensure you have a great experience! We would definitely return!

What an amazing week we had staying at the beautiful South Barn. Great size for a family and furnished with everything you would want. Tastefully furnished with all the mods cons in a renovated barn. Tranquil location perfect for walks and wine with Mevagissey just a 15minute walk away. Thankyou to Nathan and Vicky for making us feel very welcome.

Relaxing holiday
The holiday home was great, in a lovely spot. It was nice and quiet but only ten minute walk to the beach or 25 mins to Mevagissy.
Vicky and Nathan were helpful and we really enjoyed our stay. Would definitely recommend.

absolutely wonderful stay
The owners were so kind and helpful before we stayed, checking what kind of cake we'd like to welcome us and even offering to put up birthday decorations for us. Our welcome pack included lovely goodies, which we really appreciated.
The house itself is beautiful - the bathrooms and bedrooms are all a lovely size, and the upstairs space is wonderful. We particularly enjoyed the log fire and the barbecue in the garden. It's an easy 15/20 minute walk into Mevagissey itself, and five minutes from Portmellon beach, so a great location. We loved our stay and will absolutely come back here again.

A home away from home!
An incredibly relaxing few days in a wonderfully appointed Barn in a beautiful part of Cornwall! There was everything provided we could have needed, the welcome pack very much appreciated and the log fire (both highly functional and comforting) was a big hit. A great base to see the surrounding area and Vicky was extremely friendly and helpful. Many thanks!

Fabulous - real WoW factor!
We had a lovely family break staying in the South Barn. We thought the barn itself was amazing, with wooden rafters and exposed brickwork. The location is great, with only a short walk into Mevagissey.
The welcome pack that was kindly left showcased some of the local produce - who knew Cornish wine was so good!
