“A historic building just off the square, this beautiful B & B never fails. The owner, Ruth, goes out of her way to make sure that you have a comfortable stay, bathed in luxury and quality. places like this are few and far between these days. Superb!”

“Staff were very helpful and friendly. Only problem was the shower hose was not long enough to take a decent shower.”

Staff were nice tbf, room was £130 + £15 for our dog well over priced for location and quality, no discount for eating in restaurant prices compared to hotel in major city centres, I travel a lot for work and know! Only continental breakfast included absolute joke. Dinner in restaurant again poor Pad Thai must have been left on pass chicken and prawns dry sauce way to thick again dried out. Then told while relaxing with friends hadn’t seen for 5 years to leave at……

“Unique, interesting and beautiful decor throughout the hotel. The food was good.”

“Clean room comfortable bed. Tea coffee and biscuits provided and bottled water by bedside. Didn’t eat at hotel as out and didn’t book Breakfast as only staying one night. Pleasantly surprised and can see hotel has been refurbished. Would stay again if needed room in that area. More information could be provided on parking and where to access barrier before arrival That would help”

“The cabin is situated in the most beautiful and peaceful area. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the cabin really let it down. We bought a full shop on the way to check in, but we couldn’t use the oven as all the numbers had worn off around the dials. A lot of food and money wasted, which is frustrating as we booked this cabin over an alternative due to the kitchen. The crockery/cutlery/cookware were dirty. The dining chairs were filthy, so much so we didn’t want to sit on them. The tablecloth……

“Seriously unimpressed by the lack of help and assistance from the host to cancel, with nearly a weeks notice prior to our intended stay. We also found that some of the information provided on the property listing at the time of booking to be somewhat questionable, suggesting a cabin size of 215 sq ft and containing a bathroom, which we now understand relates to facilities in a separate building on the property. We will not be booking again.”

“The cottage was spotless and faultless so much provided for and more. A lively welcome with homemade bara brith cake, milk, tea, coffee and sugar, fresh eggs. I could go on lusting the amazing amount of things provided. Eileen is a lovely lady and nothing is too much trouble even offering to do our washing. She is a very special person. ”

“Staff were attentive and helpful from start to finish. The night I stayed there was a big family celebration and thought be difficult to get a meal, but staff very efficient and good food, as was breakfast. Well equipped room. Would definately go back.”

“No one in shop or office to report issues to, I txt the owner on Friday morning & they didn’t even open it until after we left on Saturday morning. No bathroom lights working, no outside light by hot tub and no covering over it to protect from weather/trees, so it was not used. No heating for night time so the hut was really cold, it was a good job I took extra bedding. ”

“The property was as beautiful as it was in the pictures with lovely grounds and the hot tub was the icing on the cake. Unfortunately though, the outside of the property was swarming with wasps so unable to keep doors and windows open and nor could you fully relax in the hot tub. My partner got stung on the first night. Also there was a trap in the corner of the bedroom which made us feel uneasy sleeping at night. And the window above the bed did not have a blackout blind so was woken early……

“I have to say that the staff were super friendly and very welcoming, not only the bar staff but also the breakfast chef and even the cleaner! The inn was situated in a nice out of town area surrounded by fields. There is a business nextdoor but there was no overnight noise from it. The food and the beer were amazing too. I would thoroughly recommend the basque cheesecake! Could it have been a bit cleaner? Well the carpet in the room could have been vacuumed better but it wasn't awful, just a……

“It was a pity that the property that was described as at Welshpool. it was not and there was no bus service. The cost of a taxi was prohibitive. The Hotel in Welshpool refused my debit card by processing it incorrectly. I spent the night in a shed of an abandoned house. Enjoyed the breakfast at the Greggs in Welshpool the next morning.”
