"This was generally a lovely stay. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location with large formal English gardens. But there are certain things that could’ve been better. 1) The aircon wasn’t working in the room we were initially given. I understand this is quite a common problem. Staff were very accommodating and offered us a new room for the next day, but the first night we had to sleep with fans. The next room was better, but aircon still not great. I’d suggest for a 4 star hotel that they prioritise sorting this out. Otherwise they will get an increasing number of complaints. 2) There aren’t enough loungers around the pool. This is easy to resolve and will greatly improve the experience if they add more. Otherwise this is a lovely hotel with good facilities and helpful staff. I raise these points as they are helpful for other people and for management to resolve key things."

"The property and staff fantastic. Breakfast perfect. Great location. Doggy rooms great with outside space and table and chairs. Would recommend. The only thing I say was I thought the price of £25 per night was a bit steep. Always paid extra for dogs at hotels but never this much. Even the big hotels in the area only charge £20 per night. ?"

"3rd time staying at this wonderful hotel. Lovely, spacious, room with one double and one single bed. Nice sized bathroom, but small shower. However, if that really bothers you, there is good shower in the bath, as well. A yummy selection of food at the breakfast buffet, and gluten free toast available. The pools and gym are nice and clean, the garden is beautiful, and the staff are really friendly."

"We loved the hotel, however in the warm weather the fans do nothing to cool the room down enough to get a good night's sleep. We mentioned to staff who adjusted the fan but it seemed minimum temp was 18 degrees! Couldn't get the shaver sockets to work in bathroom but luckily we had an adapter. One of the blinds in our room was missing it's winder so had to roll it up manually in order to get some air into room. Often forgot to give us towels or full quota of towels which was annoying. Nice to have bottled water and coffee machine plus biscuits. Hairdryer was also good (Dyson), Breakfast was plentiful and very nice with lots of choices, although they were not good at replenishing supplies. Staff lovely and helpful. Outside bar only open mainly on a Saturday which was disappointing as we stayed Mon to Fri. Location was brilliant and our room comfy and in a quiet area. Shower nice but needed to be more powerful. We used the smaller shower head to get a better shower, ironically! Sad to leave but will return one day."

"Perfect property for 9 of us adults on a cycling holiday. Heatwave weather so bikes could be left in the garden although there was room for bikes in the conservatory/diner and at one end of the lounge, and for x2 in the shed. Very clean, bright, spacious property. Good sized bedrooms mostly although the small x2 single bed room has little storage space. No upstairs bathroom. Washing line was missing, apparently had snapped, but we managed fine. Washing powder, dishwasher tabs provided and lovely welcome gift for which we were grateful. Large fridge/freezer, well equipped kitchen, range cooker, coffee machine pods. Superb outdoor seating area, pretty garden, not overlooked. Quiet, excellent location, superb cycling straight from front door every day. Enough driveway parking for x3 cars and x1 just outside gate. We'd love to come again, suited us very well indeed."

"Had a lovely, spacious room with a king size bed and lifesaving portable air con Very nice bathroom with complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee facilities excellent. The property is only a 2 minute walk from 3 pubs, 2 restaurants, a convenience store, tea room and the train station. But you hear no noise. There is parking outside the property."
