The place was functional

Reviews are difficult, this one is no exception so I will be giving this place the benefit of the doubt. I will start off by saying that Peter was a great host, he provided great information and direction. Now for the negative. We received a message stating the unit was clean and ready for our arrival. Stepping into the unit we realized it wasn’t actually clean. I will say that no matter what place I’ve rented, no matter where it has been we have found it to not be as clean as we prefer. The kitchen counters had a grime on them, the refrigerator had hairs in it. The ceiling fans were caked in dust, the bathtub had soap scum that was easily removed with a magic eraser. The fenced in place behind the unit was covered in tree debris and half dead plants. The furniture is cheap. One of the chairs outside broke while being sat in. Brought this to Peter’s attention and he was apologetic and stated “they are flimsy “. We cleaned the place ourselves, being told it was clean and finding out it wasn’t did not give me any confidence in their ability to actually do the job properly. The location is great and the price is reasonable I do believe it could be so much better. I get this is a business and they are wanting to make a profit. Simple things can be done; clean the place better, replace the lockbox on the door handle with a digital lock or move it somewhere that doesn’t bang it against the door frame every time the door is closed.

Small and cozy in the perfect location

Everything was good and the location was perfect just steps away from the beach. Neighbors took our parking space but there were others on the side. But the whole experience was great! Thank you !
