Most all the beds squeaked and make noise on every turn. The house was clean but the doors also squeaked.

This place was clean, extremely well stocked. They had most of what you could ever need on site. It turned cold but home was cozy. It is one of the best VRBO properties i have stayed in. It was also conviently located to shopping and the the museums in DC. Close to Quantico Marine Base. The neighborhood was safe. The owner was very responsive to inquires. If i am ever in the area again, i will definitely try to book here again.

Many excellent features at this home including: cleanliness, lots of towels, shampoo provided, plenty of room to spread out, 3 nice bathrooms, plenty of hot water for all & decent water pressure, quiet location with woods in back, lots of beds, comfortable washer & dryer, lamps, extra blankets & pillows, self check in worked seamlessly & no key to have to keep track of, plenty of parking, kitchen well stocked.10 people coming & going & it worked out very well. Only about 15 minutes from Quantico Marine Base where we needed to go several times. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO STAY THERE AGAIN. My only recommendations to the owners are to spruce up and repair the outside stairs leading to the front door for safety and more curb appeal, to repair the deck ballister (had a temp fix that didn't look great).The main living room couch is very comfortable but wood is broken at the bottom so people need to be cautious with that. Finally, it was a bit musty & humid in the house (more than outside). So we lowered the temp but then it was just cold and stayed humid. Finally figured out that the thermostat was continuously running the fan and it should have been on auto. Was set to go to 67 degrees at night and it got cold. We adjusted that & the humidity went away. Only mention in case this will help someone else to look for these things & adjust right when you get there. Owners kindly mailed a dress my niece left behind. Thank you for allowing us to use your home.Great for family gathering.

Retirement Ceremony

We were there for a military retirement ceremony. It was very comfortable for 6 adults. Everything we needed for the weekend was available. We had an emergency and had to extend our trip by a day, they did not hesitate to allow to stay. So thankful for that.

Very well care for. Everything provided and in order. Dryer has a problem but that has been reported and will be fixed I am sure. I would suggest additional towel racks in the bathrooms so that when more than one person showers there, there is a place for the towel to be hung to dry. We really liked the facility and would recommend it to anyone especial large groups Thanks Jim

Serene cave review

We traveled with a large multifamily group on a trip to do volunteer work in the Fredericksburg area. The house had plenty of space for us to spread out and lots of cookware in the kitchen for preparing meals. The downstairs bathroom is updated and is gorgeous. There are towels galore in the upstairs linen closet and a couple of extra blankets in the bedrooms. There was plenty of soap, shampoo, paper towels, and toilet paper, and it was great not to have to bring or buy those things. There were also water bottles and Cokes in the fridge when we arrived, which was nice. Overall the house has an at home feel; adequate, but not too fancy for families traveling with kids. A few things were in minor disrepair: the curtain rod in the back bathroom is out of the wall on one side and had no curtain, one of the refrigerator bins had been broken and was glued back on, there is a large gap between two of the floor planks in the kitchen, there was an issue of a strong sulfur smell in the dishwasher, which resolved after we ran a cycle, and there’s a musty smell when you walk in to the property, which is common to older houses in damp, shady areas, but you get used to that. We would stay here again because of the reasonable cost, split level, homey feel, and location. We were able to get to Fredericksburg in under half an hour, and to DC in about an hour and twenty minutes. Thanks!

Family time

The house was a great size and layout for our stay. We had 3 little boys who were able to use the downstairs family room as their play room. It was a great size for them to build their train towns. The bunk room was great for them to all sleep in one room. The upstairs living room worked well for family game time.

Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for our family reunion in Fredericksburg. We had everything we needed- everything was fully stocked. The beds were comfortable, showers were nice, heating and air were good.

Secluded View Close to Everything

We were presently surprised with the overall property and experience. Having the ability to have all of our family stay together in one location, a kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner as a family, without having to worry about our neighbors next room over was amazing. Plenty of towels, and the owners even left toothbrushes and drinks in the refrigerator! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience! Would definitely stay again.

Wedding getaway

The house was perfect for our stay. We had our wedding in Fredericksburg and needed somewhere to stay for us and family that came with us. House had everything we needed for the stay. The only thing was it was listed for 4 bathrooms but there was only 3 not a big deal for us but for another guests it could be issue. We would definitely stay there again.

Family Trip

We selected this home for the location and proximity to family members nearby. The home easily accommodated my family. Two living rooms have the kids their own space to play games and enjoy themselves away from the adults. We will definitely recommend this space to any friends visiting the area.

Work Vacation

In the area for some work and play. The home provided a great place for the two families to spread out. Condition of the home was good but had some flaws. Overall it was a good stay and we would consider again if in the area.

Close to MCBQ and DC

We enjoyed our stay! It was close to Marine Corps Base Quantico and DC. Our group of 6 had room to spread out and there were plenty of spaces to be together or to have time alone.

The property was clean and well-kept. There were plenty of amenities to use. The winding roads to get to the house were an adventure if you aren't used to that. But, otherwise the stay was excellent.
