“The room was very small for a twin/2 people and nowhere to put suitcases. It was very very hot and the fan didn’t work in the bathroom nor did the window open. There was a fan in the room however! Nice breakfast and staff were lovely.”

“Everything was wonderful EXCEPT no air conditioning so the whole hotel felt like a sauna (we were there during a heat wave in May) and they didn’t do table service for dinner so we had to order our food and drinks from the bar, which isn’t the end of the world but knocks a star off the rating. Room was super cute, well decorated, the bathroom was really nice, loved the shower and it was very clean. We were able to walk to Highclere Castle from the hotel (20 minute walk) which was great because……

“The staff were very friendly, and made us feel at home! The room was cozy and the view was beautiful, though the road outside was rather noisy, but it dies down after dark. I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!”

“My room was up a flight of not very well light stairs causing me to miss the last step it was above the bar and entertainment room, live music started 9PM and finished 11PM fine until more music started, at 11.50PM I rang down to see how long it will last, I was told 10mins, never happened, I rang at 1.10AM to ask again, someone hung up on me then finally it stopped. In the room Breakfast was advertised from 8AM never started until 8.30 as I had a ferry to catch in Poole it was all a mad……

“The property was brilliant, the food was great, the amenities were good. The room was clean, the staff were helpful, the food had great variety and was really tasty and there was enough parking. There was no air conditioner in our room , which was strange as the weather was really hot at almost 30 degrees. They put a fan in the room , that helped a bit but the fan was not effective because the air was stil, we felt really uncomfortable and couldn't sleep for a while. Overall, we had a great……
