「Place was closed and locked when we arrived. Had to call sister accommodation to try and open it up. First night we were the only people in the place. Stayed two nights. I never saw a single member of staff the whole time」

It felt like an institution - a key card to get through a barred gate, then again to enter the building, once more to enter the floor and finally a fourth time to enter the room. 「We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. 」

「Overall the property was very clean and everything was brand new. Great location and close walk to every where. Only down fall was the kitchen didn't have as many pots and pans if you wanted to cook a family meal. The iron was not working but we got a replacement the next day. The ceiling in the bedroom upstairs was quite low and became quite warm. The property does not have air con except for a fan in the living room. We took an additional fan with us which helped.
