We had a fantastic stay, the cottage had everything you need and more. Great hosts and fantastic decor. So much space to explore around the estate and hidden beaches.

Peace and Tranquility

We needed to find an escape from the everyday pressures of work and found peace and tranquility in abundance at Home Farm Cottage. The directions to the cottage were easy to follow and when we arrived we found that the cottage exceeded our expectations. It was clean, immaculately decorated and larger than expected. There are plenty of local places to eat but the kitchen is very well equipped and sometimes it’s nice just to take the time to prepare a meal together. Kate and Angus are lovely hosts and encourage you to explore the estate grounds, which has an abundance of wildlife including deer and red squirrels. The sun doesn’t always shine but its a good stress buster to wrap up, put on your wellies and explore the outdoors. We would recommend the walks beside the coastline. On an evening please take the opportunity to be amazed and observe the stars as Home Farm cottage is in a dark sky’s area. We would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants to spend quality time with the people they love.

Idilic holiday in the perfect location.

Well what can I say....... This place was beautiful, set in it's own country estate with a zip wire, trampoline and Wendy House which is open for guests to use, as well as access to the whole estate to roam free and explore in the woods. We went for a late afternoon stroll around the estate and seen 2 deer, not something you get to see very often. The cottage itself was so clean, and decorated to a very high standard with some basics ready for you on arrival, such as toilet roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bread, homemade brownie and some special treats for my 4 legged friends. As for the beds, best nights sleep I've had in a long time with very luxurious bedding. Kate and Angus made me aware that they wouldn't be there to greet me on the Friday but left a letter with a very welcoming message and everything I needed to know on it, followed by a phone call to welcome our arrival. The local area is also beautiful and the locals are very friendly in the pub just a 5 minute stroll away. This is the perfect holiday if you want time to relax and explore the coast and the pretty lighthouses dotted along the coast. We will definitely be revisiting soon, hopefully my other half has got the hint that I'd like to go back for my 30th!!!!!

A fairy-tale cottage

We had booked a return visit before we left! The gingerbread cottage nestles in a beautiful secluded part of a stunning estate. It’s very well appointed and cosy, with a beautiful woodland view. There is plenty to visit in the area and good restaurants. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We loved our visit.
