「I picked this hotel because of proximity to downtown. It was exactly as pictured. Everything was SPOTLESS. We stayed in a cottage. Kitchen had everything we needed. Its a very quiet hotel. Now parking is pretty tight for large trucks on the cottage side if the lot is full. We lucked out and went when it was slow. We would have just parked on the other side of property if we had needed to. There are big ceiling fans in living room and bedroom which we loved. Also there is ac and heat in both...

So relaxing and the staff members are so courteous; for each adult there’s two free drinks at the bar nightly during happy hour which I have actually never seen a hotel implement before! Room was clean and the view was great. The only thing I wasn’t sure about is the parking; different sources say $10 a night but I wasn’t notified of any parking charge when I checked in.」

「We stayed a couple nights during a round trip. We knew going in that the hotel was under renovation and that the property is very old. The outside and lobby are beautiful. Our room was very clean, but worn due to age. As long as you expect this you will not be disappointed. We enjoyed live music in the bar and valet parking was very convenient. We enjoyed a massage and bath in the Hotel Spa. 」

「Water is right outside the sliding glass door. You get your own picnic bench, you have your own grill if you want to grill out ( and they even supply the charcoal) , there are portable fire pits you can use and put on your patio ( they supply the firewood for free also! what!? oh , yea). The bed was a little soft for my liking but I like a super firm bed so thats neglegable depending on what you like. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing is, if you go in the fall or winter the lake...
