“For a small town, this was a great place to stay. Will come back when we’re in the area again.”

“As soon as we opened the front door. The smell was horrible- the beds looked clean. The front mirror was smeared and not clean. They left a container to put ice in which was dirty- it had pop stains stuck to the side and dirt and dust all around top edge. We had to go to the office to get a bag to put ice in . The bathroom was dirty- floor was dirty and not cleaned in months from the looks of it. Mirror was smeared and couldn't see in it. Sink and tub were nasty as well. We were on first floor……

“The bed sheets were not clean. Covered in both human and dog hair. Room was freezing. Looks to be an old converted shed sitting in a concrete pad. It was 5 degrees outside and we had a constant draft through the doors, windows, and cold air emitting straight from the floor. The home is old, which is no issue. There is a difference however between old and old/dirty/unkept. The floor was covered in dead bugs, spiderwebs, and dust. There was someone’s old food in n the mini fridge. Also, we are……

“Room was clean and ground floor accessible, so no elevators or luggage hauling. However, the pool was not operational, and there was nobody to turn the keys into and check out with the next morning, and much of the breakfast stuff was gone although we were there more than an hour before they closed.”

“stayed two nights here. cranky beds. thin wall and room smells mold。 most importantly, i left my bag there when i checked out. called them several times ,they say will check and call me back, never did. when i ask again, they said the room was clean and didnt seem to care that i lost ma IDs and car keys. so rude!!!!!”

“The inn is a fun place, stepping back into another time with many modern conveniences. A family style breakfast is offered each morning. Dining options are very limited in the community. We would recommend a stay at this distinctive Inn.”

“If you move in and find a lot of bugs, I have a good method to get rid of them without having to do it by hand. You can catch the bugs in the trash can and flush them down the toilet. But it's difficult to flush the bug corpses out of the room's toilet.”

“The Horse Cave Motel was a pleasant surprise. A standard older style motel in a small town that felt alot like home. I grew up in a small town, so it was fun to revisit an older style, well maintained motel. The owners were very friendly, helpful and visibly worked very hard daily to clean and maintain the property. Very helpful and definitely a family affair! Our room was clean, the double beds were very comfortable, and plenty of room for our dog kennels to be set up for our stay. Lots of……

“Exceptional stay but, be prepared for a $100 deposit on a credit when you check in for "incidentals". Nice mex restaurant and bar shares the parking lot, and they have plug ins for RVs on the back side.”
