  • Newly converted for Summer 2021. Refurbished and furnished to a very high standard. Located in the same courtyard as the ever popular Primrose and Bluebell Cottages.
    Situated between the villages of Towton and Barkston Ash.
    This single storey cottage is a wonderful holiday home and an ideal spot from which to explore the North Yorkshire area and beyond.
    With 2 bedrooms it comfortably sleeps 3 people and has a well equipped kitchen and living area. The bathroom is spacious with a large shower.
    WIFI, TV and parking available.
    Well behaved dogs are accepted- please note this is a working farm and dogs must be kept on a lead at all times around the farm.
    Under no circumstances must pets be left unattended in the cottage.
    Please note farmyard noises are to be expected.

Peaceful retreat

Willow Cottage is exactly as described and finished to the highest of standards. The hosts were friendly and inviting, nothing was too much bother, would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely stay at a farm in Tadcaster

We enjoyed our stay very much. Toni welcomed us warmly making on our arrival easy. The unit was newly renovated and very comfortable. It is in a lovely quiet area close to several Lake Area villages, a grocery store and local pub where we had lunch. We're looking forward to a return stay soon and highly recommend a visit.

A fabulous stay

This is the second time we have stayed at Willow Cottage and we absolutely love it here. The cottage is beautiful, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's in a great location and there is lots to explore in the local area, including some amazing pubs nearby. The owners couldn't be more helpful, they really go out of their way to make sure you have a lovely stay. Thank you James and family for making us feel so welcome.

Clean, up to date and well laid out. This is a lovely cottage and I’d recommend to anyone. Communications with the owner were speedily responded to. Plenty of parking.

Cottage on a farm

My son and I were visiting my mother in Tadcaster for one week. We stayed in Willow Cottage at Saxton Grange farm. We could not have asked for better accommodations. The cottage was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and was cosy. I would highly recommend the cottages and we would certainly return in the future.

Lovely cottage, perfect hosts.

We stayed here because we’d booked onto a course in Sherburn in Elmet. The cottage is even better than the pictures, immaculate, really clever layout, super comfy beds and the shower was amazing. James is a lovely host and the cows mooing in the morning made us smile. Loved it, would absolutely stay here again and really appreciated the milk in the fridge for a cup of tea.

Wonderful

Willow cottage was absolutely lovely, everything you needed to start your holiday was there. Lovely owners who couldn’t do enough to make our stay a great one. My dog loved it too snd made friends with the pet sheep and horse. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if the owners don’t mind? Plus it’s surrounded by lovely countryside

Willow Cottage was a great base for our week away exploring Yorkshire (including a fantastic day at The Great Yorkshire Show). James et al were accomodating in every way and nothing was too much trouble. The cottage has a well equipped Kitchen with some essentials, and plenty of storage space throughout. A handy welcome booklet, some local attraction leaflets and local OS map are supplied which came on very useful when thinking up of ideas to entertain our young kids. Harrogate/Knaresborough are worth an explore and only an easy 30 minutes drive, and we were closer to York than initially thought. A lovely stay, would highly recommend.

Everything we expected and more. Beautifully renovated building with a great history Hosts were outstanding Did not need for anything. Set in a quite country setting a short drive to leeds and major highways to travel the UK. Loved our stay and will definitely stay again Thankyou James and Toni!!

Willow Cottage near Towton

This is an immaculate, modern farm building conversion where much thought has been given to what you need for a short stay in this area. Quiet, but easy access to roads, pubs and shops. Nice touches like milk in the fridge and basic tea, coffee for when you arrive. Good bed! Great shower. Quality kitchen equipment.

A fabulous property. Beautiful throughout and a fantastic location. We explored York, Whitby and Robins Hood Bay over the weekend. Excellent Cottage

I booked this break last minute and wanted a peaceful break away from the hustle and bustle of work and daily life. It could not have been closer to the description in the advert. It was a peaceful place, a beautiful cottage, immaculately clean, very tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and with the most amazing wet room and all the necessities provided on arrival at the cottage. The owners and family living around and about were so friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect. The location is ideal in that it was only a short drive to park and ride and then a 10 minute bus into York and whilst staying in Towton, there were some lovely pubs serving food, one of which we visited. The entire stay was so relaxing and to be honest, I don't want to recommend it as I don't want too many people to know about it as I will be staying there again without a doubt! Thank you James, Toni and family for a wonderful stay. We hope to see you again next year. Thank you Andrea, Dawn and Fred x
