Taormina with a view

Spending four magical days in Taormina in the comforts of a wonderful apartment is a great way to experience this part of Sicily. The apartment is clean and comfortable and the views were amazing. Our host Furio made check-in a seamless process. He even picked us up at the train station. And his wife offered restaurant suggestions and other bits of information to help us find our way through the town. It was a perfect stay. Eat the pasta and gelato because you’ll burn calories walking the steps.

Fantastic apartment and super host

The apartment was perfect for our trip. Located just minutes from all the hustle and bustle of Taormina but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful as well. It was well equipped and had the comfiest beds and great air conditioning. Furio was the best host we have ever come across in a Vrbo rental. He picked us up from the train station when we arrived, gave us great info on all the local restaurants and places to visit, arranged a day for us at a local beach lido and finally dropped us back to the station at the end of our stay. I would definitely recommend this property for anyone visiting this beautiful part of Sicily.

Incredible host

I cannot speak highly enough of Furio or the property. Our flight was rerouted to Comiso from catania, Furio helped arrange a car and greeted us at the apartment at 3am AAA+ The apartment is beautifully appointed with decor in-keeping with Taormina. The location is perfect close enough to the centre but far enough to relax. I would recommend this property to family friends, Furio and the apartment made our stay in Taormina very special. Superb Taormina stay

Both hosts Furio and his wife Paola are the essence of professionalism from start to finish! We were made to feel welcome even before we arrived; greeted upon arriving with full complete explanation of everything we needed to know including recommendations for restaurants not touristy! Their place is exactly as described, close to everything, quiet and just perfect! The day we were to leave there was a train strike and Furio looked into everything for us, he found out buses were still running and made arrangements to get us quickly to the bus station all the while ensuring we didn’t need to worry; an absolute gem of a host!!! Really nice people I would absolutely 100% recommend their place for a wonderful stay!!!

Sizzling in Sicily

The apartment is very clean and beds very comfortable. There is a well equipped kitchen. Across the road, down the steps and you are in Corso Umberto, the main thoroughfare. A very good supermarket is not far away. The amphitheatre is a must-see. We were lucky to see an opera whilst we were there. The public gardens are wonderful and entry is free. We didn’t do any excursions as the weather was extremely hot and it was lovely to get back to the air-conditioned apartment after a stroll or lunch in town. Furio, the owner is extremely helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending the apartment.

Furio was an excellent host!’

Upon our arrival we were met by the property owner Furio who spent time answering questions and giving us insight into places for grocery shopping, laundry, beach and restaurants. He made himself available for any other questions for the duration of our stay. Definitely would recommend this place.

Beautiful apartment

Apartment was in a perfect location to see Taormina and had spectacular views from every bedroom and terrace. The hosts were fantastic, accommodating welcoming and so helpful in picking restaurants and even made reservations for us. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great location and helpful host

We appreciated the host Furio helping us with parking and giving us an orientation to the apartment and area. He also helped with recommendations for restaurants. The apartment is in a great location, close enough to all the “action” but far enough away to be a nice restful place away from the crowds.

Amazing views and location!

Our hosts were terrific! They suggested several places to eat and all were great. The location is superb for visiting Taormina - a three minute walk to main area. Wonderful stay!

Cozy Taormina Apartment with Excellent Location and Comfy Beds

We had a lovely stay at Furio’s apartment in Taormina. There were two couples in our group. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the downtown area with wonderful shops and a variety of restaurants. Furio kindly arranged valet parking for us (20 Euro per day) and a private tour of Mt Etna (60 Euro per person). He also provided us with fantastic restaurant recommendations.  As for the apartment, the beds were incredibly comfortable! The kitchen was basic, with a small compact fridge and no oven or toaster. As we enjoy cooking in sometimes, this was a bit challenging. Fortunately, Furio arranged a discounted continental breakfast (10 Euro per person) at the nearby hotel for us, which made not having a fully equipped kitchen easier to manage.  Overall, the apartment suited the four of us well, and we had a wonderful stay in Taormina.

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. We were able to walk to many good restaurants and sites. Our host, Furio, gave us a great welcome and provided lots of information about the area and restaurants. He also arranged valet parking for us and facilitated the arrangements. The outside stairs were not always well lit at night. But overall, a great experience! We liked the balcony, too!

Perfect location!

Furio, our host, was fantastic to work with! He made checking super easy and was able to help us with our travel plans. He also gives you acres to a fantastic breakfast buffet at the Hotel Continental across the street with amazing views of the coast and Etna. When we arrived the shops were closed so he gave us a bottle of his own personal wine. The rooms are spacious and clean and it’s nice to have a sitting room with a patio. The location is straight up the steps from the Porta Catania which is the entrance to the pedestrian zone. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Amazing hosts

We were extremely well looked after by Furio and Poula from the second we arrived ( and before ) Taormina is beautiful with incredible food and stunning narrow, often stepped streets. We had very good recommendations for food with varied views and locations. We couldn’t easily see mount Etna from the balcony but had a great view from the hotel across the road for a wonderful breakfast we had. We spent a great day climbing a volcano and quad biking on the foothills of Etna. A fabulous evening as well at the local opera down the road. Not to mention Furio organising chauffeur service for a day in the sun at the beautiful beach with pizza and wine. What’s not to like? Can’t think of a single thing.

Our host gave us all the info to make our stay wonderful. Great location to everything we needed They arranged off site parking for 20 € a day. Breakfast buffet at the hotel across from us for 10€ pp. excellent food there also the restaurant had a rooftop bar Great food Our host was awesome. Highly recommend.

Beautiful flat, very close to the Corso Umberto

This place is GREAT. Clean, stylish, impeccably decorated. About 5 minutes (down MANY stairs, like everything in Taormina) to all the shops, restaurants, and people-watching you could imagine. A view that is breath-taking. The host is charming, and very friendly. He sat with us for a long time after we arrived to answer all our questions about food, shopping, groceries, gelato... One thing to clarify: When we set search filters for this stay, we looked for parking and laundry. This site came up, but it does not have either of these on-site. The host was great, and set us up with a valet service that would pick up or deliver the car, with 15 minutes notice, as many times as we wanted, for less money per day than the local parking garage. So, at first we were disappointed, but it turned out to be GREAT. As for laundry, there is a nice little laundromat about 30 meters down the road (no stairs). It's been a long time since we used a coin-op washer, but it was not bad at all.
