"The check in process was not ideal. I was contacted a few days before check in by staff to ensure they would be able to contact me in case there was no staff on site when we arrived. I explained that we were able to use Whats App becasue we were from out of country. We connected through Whats App and I thought everything was set as we were told they would send self check in instructions via Whats App the day of our arrival. We did not receive any instructions. I tried contacting the property through Whats app and there was no response. We arrived to find that it is a gated property and luckily we were able to get through the gate as someone was leaving. There was no staff on site at this time. A second bit of luck was the on site, very helpful property management person. He had to contact the property owner on our behalf so we could get into our room. Had he not been there, we would not have been able to get in and stay here. This was a stressful situation after a long day of travel. The room itself was very clean and well maintained."

"A most delightful experience! The hotel is beautiful, and the service perfect. Elegant without being pretentious. The breakfasts in the beautiful courtyard garden were a highlight. The concierge helped arrange amazing excursions. The right place to practice “Il dolce far niente”! When we back in Rome, this is where we will stay."

"2 bed apartment was perfect, large and super clean. All amenities like towels, sheets , cleaning supplies and paper towel was easy accessible in the laundry room, which was very handy. Check-in via the app was super easy, we paid for an early check-in and had access at 11 am which was very nice. The area is 15-20 minutes walk to the main Trastevere area but public transport was very easy to use. And if your plan to drive then street parking seem plentiful. Would definitely stay again."

"We found this hotel to be wonderful for our stay in Rome. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They arranged transportation for us from the airport to the hotel. They also allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel the day we checked out until 9:30pm when we needed to head to the train station. Everyone we encounter spoke excellent English, and they were easy to communicate with. The air conditioning worked great in our room, and we didn’t have any issues with anything in the room. There is a hairdryer provided which was nice since we came from the U.S. and have different plug-ins. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted and visited all of the Rome highlights. We felt safe staying at The Hive Hotel. We would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again ourselves."

"If you don't mind taking the bus to the main sites and you're looking for a good hotel that is safe, clean, comfortable, and well equipped with great air conditioning, a small kitchenette, housekeeping service, and really helpful staff, then this is the place for you. We were a family of five, and the room was very spacious and well equipped. We spent three nights there and used the bus to get everywhere. We purchased a three day transit pass, and the bus stop is literally right outside the hotel across the street. Once you get used to the system, it's quite easy to get around. There is also a good supermarket and a laundromat within walking distance of the hotel, which makes this place really convenient for families."
