"The Heywood Hotel is located in close proximity to almost everything. There are so many wonderful restaurants nearby along East Cesar Chavez Street and East 6th Street. We also enjoyed shopping and eating on South Congress. The staff was very helpful to us. It was nice to be able to park and the walk to your room is a very short distance. We also took the Austin City Limits theatre tour which was very enjoyable. We chose the Heywood mainly for its close proximity of the Malin meeting...

"Charming and quiet right in middle of Austin. Parking in great. Walk to everything on South Congress. There are some pretty steep stairs at entry, but they were worth it IMO. Suites are charming and deck is absolutely wonderful."

"We had a great stay in April. We were in the 15th floor, Rainey street side so we did a lot of people watching. If you are not interested in that I suggest the other side of the buildings as it may be a bit quieter at night but we loved it. If we come back we will for sure stay again. It’s a 8 min walk to downtown but there are a lot of choices for food and drink across the street so you are good staying there as well. Highly recommend it!"

"This hotel is really very nice, clean, safe with excellent breakfast and staff. There are alot of security features in place. Covered parking is a necessity with a fee. Pay it and dont complain. Key card access only. We were going to an event on UT campus and this hotel is very convenient. Just be aware that downtown Austin is not a safe place so a hotel like this one is worth every penny."
