"We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It’s a beautiful property with great facilities and a fantastic location for families, being right next to Battersea Park. The main area where I feel there is room for improvement is the customer service at the front desk. We were travelling with a small child in nappies and asked if we could have a bag to dispose of dirty nappies, as there were no bin liners provided in the room and we didn’t want them to cause an unpleasant smell. Unfortunately, the response we received from the front desk staff member was quite cold and, rather than feeling that our request was being listened to, I was left feeling as though I was inconveniencing her by asking. I appreciate that this may have been a small or unusual request, but the tone and manner of the interaction made the situation feel unnecessarily uncomfortable. We were told that we would need to wait for housekeeping, which we completely understood. I therefore asked if something could be left for us when housekeeping was available. Unfortunately, the message didn’t appear to be passed on, and nothing was provided. It was ultimately a very simple request, and I think a little more warmth, empathy and willingness to help from the front desk team would have made a big difference. Even if something couldn’t be provided immediately, simply acknowledging the situation and helping us find an alternative would have been appreciated. Aside from this,"

"I thought there would have been a kettle / drink making facility in the room for the price I paid, I took that as a given but there wasn't one. Also, the description states an iron / ironing board in the room facilities and in actual fact it's an ironing room on each floor. Bit inconvenient. Breakfast was nice but limited choices."

"Great location to travel to/from LHR on the Piccadilly Line. Easy to walk to SoHo, and China Town. Room was nice. The shower overflows though. You can store your luggage for a fee if you get in before check in time. Had to look around to find the lobby entrance, but it’s next to the Five Guys. There are no windows in the rooms. The AC was ok, room felt decent but not cold."

"My room wasn’t as large as was advertised, but it’s an older building and well maintained. Concierge wasn’t super helpful—they didn’t describe any amenities upon check in, but did warn that the front door would be locked after a certain hour and explained that you have to come in through the Sloane Club next door. Room was very clean and the AC worked very well. Some issues: the tub didn’t drain well so you were always showering in a pool of water and Cleaning knocked on the door at 08:30 while we were still sleeping and woke us up. We didn’t have a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, but I’ve never had Cleaning knock before 09:00 before!"
