“I arrived after dark and the hotel and the village were like a magical New England winter scene with sparkling lights everywhere. The proximity of the hotel to a typical New England church and numerous white painted wooden framed structures was a scene from our historical heritage. The hotel was reopened less than a year ago after extensive renovations. The outcome is a GEM. Decorations deserve an A+.”

The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of. “This place should be ashamed to operate like this. Filthy room, broken and run down. They had a cheap plastic lawn chair as the only chair in the room, dog kibble left on the shelves, shower held together with duct tape, heating wasn't working so it was too cold to take a shower anyway. Honestly probably the worst motel I've ever stayed in, just dirty. 1 star because I think/hope the sheets were clean. ”

“Harvest Barn Inn was the perfect place to stay warm on a freezing Vermont winter weekend. We absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere - homemade cookies, endless tea, plenty of books, and beautiful views. The three-course weekend breakfast was the highlight of our stay.
