Excelllent Stay

Really nice play and very affordable. Staff were very friendly and booked us a cultural tour which was brillant. We had breakfast which was very nice and nice restaurants are within walking distance.

Duty manager was extremely helpful throughout our stay. It is fairly rural so it’s a bit of a walk to shops / restaurant or a short tuk tuk ride. Ideal location for visiting Yala NP. The restaurant food was nice but quite pricy.

Bardzo przyjemne miejsce

Bardzo przyjemny Hotelik położony wśród zieleni. Niestety bardzo dużo komarów. Pokoje czyste i schludne, ciut mało przytulne. Bardzo smaczne jedzenie. Niestety obsługa nie mówi po angielsku, kontakt mocno utrudniony. Za to właściciel Olivier, absolutnie pomocny, miły i dokładał wszelkich starań by umilić nam pobyt. Zorganizował nam też Safari Jeep w najtańszej cenie.

Great for a tour stay

Nice place to stay if touring and been to a safari close by! Clean rooms with basic facilities and good air conditioning. There were a few bugs but can be expected in the jungle! Pool looked good unfortunately no time to use! Food very good and superb breakfast served not Buffett

hotel comme base d'un safari

Les managers qui parlent français nous ont organisé un safari dans le parc Yala avec un chauffeur très compétant. Il y a une belle piscine au milieu d'un parc bien entretenu et il est agréable de d'année sur la terrasse de la chambre. Mais attention aux moustiques. Beaucoup de choix au dinner, mais service un peu lent, tout est fait à la demande. Nous avons apprécié nos deux nuits.

Blue Turtle

Lovely but isolated spot. Beautiful relaxing outdoor pool, and lots of interesting birds including eagles and peacocks that roamed the grounds. Food was decent, and service was great! The location was down a badly maintained dirt road and town was a 40 minutes walk necessitating a hired tuk-tuk or taxi. Other than it’s off the beaten path site a really nice and chill place!

Visite du parc Yala

L'hôtel est à 30 minutes de l'entrée du parc Yala et son accès est par 1 chemin en terre depuis la route principale. Une fois sur place, c'est très joli. La piscine est énorme et elle s'éclaire de milles lucioles la nuit. Les chambres sont très grandes et il y en a 4 par pavillon donnant toutes sur la piscine. Il y a plusieurs grands arbres dans le jardin. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec de belles terrasses.Le petit dejeuner est très bon. Le personnel est très gentil et très serviable. Les propriétaires sont français. Une très bonne adresse.

Das Hotel ist als Ausgangspunkt für eine Safari sehr gut. Schöner Pool, gutes Essen. Etwas komisch finde ich das man bei Halbpension die Getränke (auch Wasser) zum Essen selbst zaheln muss.

Superb Value - Clean, Spacious, Attentive Staff

What an amazing find! If this hotel was on the coast it would be fantastic value at even USD$125/night. Clean, spacious rooms set in a 2-up, 2-down configuration amidst spacious well-tended grounds with an huge, clean swimming pool incorporating a toddlers section. Rooms have individual air conditioners and also, mosquito nets large enough to cover the beds. Staff are extremely attentive, the attitude is focused on service and a willingness to help. Packed breakfast is provided for the 5 a.m. start for the Yala national park safari. It is a pity that most people stay just a single night before the safari experience (we stayed 2 nights, one either side of the safari) because the Blue Turtle is a value-priced, quiet haven. The owner has lived in Europe and has brought a high standard of finish to the design and the materials used in construction - note the quality of ceiling/roof timbers once you arrive! If there is any disadvantage it is that there are seemingly few additional attractions/activities in the general area to sustain an 'active' traveller (we were travelling as 2 parents and a teenage daughter - but if you are looking for a place to 'chill' between active adventures in southern Sri Lanka, then the Blue Turtle hotel is time and money well-spent.

Great service.

We were only here for one night, the room was spacious but smelt of damp. AC and fan were great as it helped. Too many mosquitoes maybe because of the season we were in so take precautions. We had dinner at the hotel which was lovely. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Overall it was fine for the night.

Amazing pool

A lovely hotel with a massive pool. Perfect place to do a safari from. Staff and manager were extremely helpful. Only downside was weak internet but it is in the middle of the nowhere!

Comfortable rooms surrounded in a lush garden

Overall Blue turtle was really good. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the gardens and pool added to the relaxed ambience. Some of the staff we dealt with were fantastic while others were definitely lacking in customer service skills. The food we had (breakfast and lunch) was ok for the price but nothing fancy.

Excellent rapport qualité/prux sri lankais

Nous ne sommes restés qu'une courte nuit à cet hôtel pour faire un safari le lendemain à l'aube dans le Parc de Yala et nous serions bien restés davantage! Le rapport qualité/prix est excellent (en comparaison avec d'autres établissements ds lesquels nous avons séjourné au Sri Lanka). La chambre et la salle de bains sont propres, spacieuses, le balcon de chaque chambre donne sur l'agréable piscine et la situation de l'hôtel est parfaite (à une centaine de mètres de la route principale ce qui permet d'être à l'ecart du bruit des véhicules). Même si nous ne l'avons pas allumée, il y a une télé (assez rare dans les chambres d'hôtel sri lankaises pour être souligné!). Le manager (français et certainement aussi sri lankais j'imagine) fut très accueillant, souriant et ouvert à la discussion. Nous avons diné au resto dans lequel les plats proposés avec viande cuite au barbecue furent bons, copieux et faiblement épicés donc parfait pour nous! Les prix furent raisonnables (entre 1000 et 1500 Rs compte tenu du lieu). Le petit déj étant inclus dans notre nuitée, nous avons pu avoir une box pratique à emporter pour faire une pause pendant notre Safari. Je note simplement 2 points perfectibles : le bar est un peu tristounet à mon goût et surout, l'anglais du personnel est à perfectionner car il est souvent difficile de se faire comprendre... Je recommande cet hôtel pour une nuit d'étape avant ou après un safari!

Quiet, comfortable and convenient location

Modern hotel with a lovely, big swimming pool in a quiet and peaceful location. Convenient to head to Yala NP for early morning safaris. A mini fridge would have been ideal to keep drinks cold.

Bon hôtel étape pour un safari à Yala. Très bon accueil, cadre de l'hôtel super avec beaux extérieurs et belle piscine. Chambre correcte, avec petit balcon très agréable mais salle de bain vétuste. Par contre, cocktails pas terribles.
