Pleasant hotel with clean comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. My only criticism is there was nowhere in the room to place luggage.

We stayed 3nights. Very clean, helpful staff. Under 5minute walk to main areas of Shinjuku (restaurants, entertainment district). Good size room for 2 people. Laundry facilities ($5). Bar downstairs with light food options. Safe area, police station down road. Noisy each night, near the hospital you will hear the ambulance sirens.

Great hotel 3 minute walk to the busy spots in Shinjuku. I recommend booking a deluxe room as the “moderate” room is a little tight for two people.

The room was small but as expected for a stay in Japan. I would stay here again, but I would select a larger room next time. The hotel was clean, and the staff was friendly. It was conveniently located near Shinjuku station - about 8 minutes walk. There are many restaurants nearby and tons of convenient stores. Although this was near the red light district, it was safe. The room had very good sound proof. We stayed on the 2nd floor, and did not hear any street noise. Would stay here again.

We enjoyed the first two nights with the room, it’s nice and we can fit and open our suitcase. Our third night after returning from Fuji the room was so small that we can hardly turned around and we had to fixed our suitcase on the bed. We did complaint to the front desk nothing was done. When we checked out I miss placed the room card in the room and the room was so small with the suitcases inside I have no way to search for the room card, at the checkout I was charged 1000 Yan, very unhappy.

The hotel is very convenient and right there in Shinjuku and you will not have problems finding restaurants and convenience stores. Staff are very friendly and helpful and provided us with the best information. Only down side is the room is really small and if you are a big and tall person you will have a little difficulty manoeuvring around the room. Great location

Two person room a bit small, probably normal by Japan standards. One bag per person should give you enough room. Great staff, perfect area to be around a lot of people and we couldn't hear anything from the 5th floor which was nice. Bed and pillow comfortable and we slept well. I would stay here again.

Over the course of my trip to Japan, I stayed in five hotels. This last hotel was the worst of the set. The location is unsafe and quite loud in the evenings, which I am really disappointed I missed when booking. It's a redlight district in Shinjuku, so beware if you're bringing family. I am not a partier, and this was the absolute wrong hotel and neighbourhood for me, in light of this. The room was dusty and dirty, with pieces of lint and other debris scattered in the room. The beds are deeply uncomfortable - hard as a rock, to the point that you get back and hip pain easily. Both my partner and I slept terribly - the hotel would do well to invest in new mattresses. Consider going elsewhere if you're looking for a good rest and clean room.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed our time! This was our first time in Japan and staying here made it easier and more pain free. If possible, I would recommend their deluxe twin room — very spacious, very beautiful styling, and lovely bathroom!

Our stay at La'gent Hotel was excellent. The bed was a bit hard on my bad back, but they ensured I had an extra comforter for better padding the rest of our stay once I asked. The room was everything we needed and staff were very helpful and friendly.

Decently priced and the room was a bit bigger than expected as most hotel rooms in Tokyo are pretty tiny. The staff were all very nice and had great English so it was easy to communicate. Their amenities can be found in the lobby so just grab what you need. The only downside is that they don't provide bottled water, just a communal source with cups. But there's plenty of convenience stores nearby to buy cheap 1L bottled water. The location is a bit hidden from the main busy streets so it was actually nice and quiet in the rooms. They were also able to hold our bags for us before check in since we would have had to wait a few hours. Just a note, this is in the red light district so make sure staying in this area is for you. Nothing crazy happens but it's definitely a different feel to any other place I was in, in Japan. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Shinjuku Station and the airport limo bus pick up/drop off area is only a few minutes away as well.

Nice hotel
The staff was amazing. They were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel was clean and had free amenities in case anything was forgotten. The room was small but nice. The AC worked well and kept the room cool and comfortable. The bed was a little hard for my comfort but was clean and well made. The location is great and between 3 stations, including Shinjuku station, which makes it very easily accessible to walk to.

The place is located in a place whose environment at night is not so pleasant, the rooms are not suitable for families, the rooms are very crowded, the mattresses are uncomfortable, there was no place to even open a suitcase
