MONday Apart Premium Ginza Shintomicho is an absolute JEWEL! It's a compact well-maintained 9-story hotel on a quiet small side street off main road just South of Ginza and East of Tsukiji old fish market.
With extremely reasonable Expedia pricing (including advantageous USD to JPY exchange rate), our family of five was able to stay in a very clean and well-maintained mini apartment/studio for almost two weeks. The washer-dryer combined machine in the bathroom turned out to be a highlight, and allowed us to do daily laundry after sweaty fun-filled days during the Tokyo summer heat wave (hint: make sure to ask for machine instructions from the staff if you don't read Japanese!).
The staff were all very helpful but especially the two ladies who checked us in (they spoke fluent Japanese, English, and Chinese). The manager, Mr. Kohara, was also fantastic, and helped us take care of our luggage and rent one of their smaller rooms to rest in before our return flight departing late at night.
Nice functional mini-kitchenette with stovetop, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, dishes, glasses, and utensils. Multiple mini-grocery and convenience stores within several blocks.
Excellent location: 20-25 mins walk to bustling Ginza world-class shopping and dining. Three train/subway stations within 5-10 mins walk (Shintomicho, Hatchobori, Tsukiji). Easy walking distance to famed old Tsukiji outer fish market for foodies.
DEFINITELY WILL STAY HERE AGAIN!
