The view of Senso-ji temple from the room window was amazing. Location in Asakusa very convenient close to subway and many restuarants and shops.Quiet and peaceful in the room after days of sightseeing. Decor in the room a bit tired, 3.00pm check in and 10.00am checkout enforced. Overall a good experience.

A nice hotel in a mostly quiet downtown area
The hotel is a short walk from Asakasa underground station. The room size is what would be expected in Tokyo at this price and there are limited free amenities. More importantly for me however, the windows open, the aircon and wifi work well and the area and hotel is quiet.

Great choice!
The breakfast was great. Beds very comfortable. Staff helpful and friendly, though no early check in available except for a fee. Not a problem as they held our bags for free. Room was a bit dated compared to previous properties we stayed at. Older bathroom, bit of a musty smell to the room, but it was clean. Location is very close to temples, shops, and restaurants, but a 10 minute walk from the subway.

Excellent!!
We have stayed in Via Inn on many occasions over the past years and Via Inn has once again met our expectations in more ways than one. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful as well as efficient. Mr. Koike at the front desk was especially helpful as well as welcoming. All our requirements were met and they even pleasantly surprised us with an upgrade of our room. Thank you Via Inn. The location of Via Inn is superb for Asakusa, being just 2 minutes walk from Sensoji Temple and there are many surrounding eateries and shopping too. Transport is convenient with the metro and railway being just minutes away. Our family of three had a most enjoyable 2 nights' stay. We will be staying at Via Inn again in a few days' time upon our return to Tokyo from Kyoto and we are certainly looking forward to our stay there again.

I requested for a non smoking room but they said they were full, instead they ask us to use an airfreshner spray. The room was to warm. We ask front desk to call taxi because of our luggage, no effort to help and told us to just wait infront of the hotel and wait for taxi to pass by.

Clean & Tiny retreat
I stayed here on a 23 hour layover in Tokyo and wanted to be near some of the sites I intended to visit. This hotel is a few minutes walking distance from The Sensoji Temple. It is also steps away from the metro lines - two of them to be exact. The room itself was very small, as expected in Tokyo, but clean. I felt comfortable and good good sleep that night. The breakfast was actually very good - a wide range of heavier food like noodles, beef stew, rice - as well as eggs, bread etc.) and my friend and I ate our bellies full before we departed for the day. The front desk spoke limited English and we could not get too much help about sightseeing. We actually asked them about getting to the fish market, woke up at 4 am to catch a cab, and it was the cab driver who told us it was closed on Sundays. Neither of the front desk workers mentioned that - which was rather disappointing. If you are looking for something near the temple, I would recommend.

Pros: Absolute BEST location ever for first-timers in Asakusa. Walking distance to Asakusa Temple, shopping, street food, restaurants, cherry blossoms, train & subway stations (the temple is almost literally on your doorstep). Room layout good and beds comfortable. Free unlimited assortment of tea a plus. Quiet neighborhood. Customer service good. Cons: requested smoke-free room but did not get it. heavy disgusting smoke-infused room almost made my spouse want to vomit and gave me a headache. Toilet and bathroom were clean but there is likely a plumbing issue, as the floor albeit clean had a strong sewer smell (coming from?) that was alarming.

Great location!
The location is great being close to the Asakusa Station and Karimon. Lots of food and shopping all over. The room was clean but very small as the hotel squeezed a twin bedroom into a triple and there was barely enough space to move around let alone to place 3 trolley bags. One had to be placed on the writing desk and two remain standing shut. The front desk staff were helpful save for 1 gentleman who was very curt and unsmiling. We avoided him. I would say for the convenience it was good enough if you don't mind being crammed.

Great location in Asakusa
Great location (especially for the price) in the historic Asakusa area. The hotel is literally next door to Senso-ji and Kaminarimon, and also has a good view of the Tokyo Skytree. About a 10 minute walk straight from Asakusa Station, and there are a number of convenience stores, izakaya and craft shops nearby. Hotel has wifi in-room now, which was a relief. Rooms were a bit larger than usual for Tokyo. Their air-conditioning has also significantly improved since the last time I stayed there. The only downside is that the hotel doesn't have a coin laundry (though they do have a laundry service).

Great Location with Temple view
I wanted to book 2 nights with this hotel but due to very busy season, I could book only one night. I've booked the single room but it wasn't available and they gave me the twin room on the top floor with Sensoji (temple) view. The hotel looked it had been recently refurbished and looked good. It's about 7min walk to Subway station. I bought Tokyo Metro 2day pass so it was very useful. I didn't have BKF there (there are so many places for BKF) so can't tell you but price looks very reasonable if you like the buffe. I think the hotel was very good value for the price I paid. I will stay here again next time.

We are given a smoking room when we had specifically requested none smoking. The room was small with no internet. I think for the money you can stay in better places in Tokyo.

My second stay here. It is a really nice hotel just up from train station but in spring I was advised there is no air con. What the ?? Nights are cooler so it's OK but I needed to sleep in the daytime and it was 30 degrees no fans. Other than that it is a great place

Lukewarm services but overall still good to stay!
This is my second time of staying this hotel and my overall impression is still good to stay in this hotel. What draws me attention on this stay is the lukewarm services by the staff in the front desk reception as I arrived late at night on check-in due to my flight delay. Unlike my first visit in last year, staff had much more patience, attentive and friendliness. Even I lower my overall rating from 1 point but I still recommend anyone to stay in this hotel due to the convenience of this hotel location and access of public transportation from this hotel location.

Close to subway and shrine. 7-11 very close to use you ATM card. 7-11 has good food to go too. Buffet is well worth the money. There are many shops and restaurants close by. We checked in after midnight. Our flight got in late and we had to use the subway and transfer twice, but way way cheaper than a cab. Hotel had all toiletries needed including a razor and toothbrush. Beer in vending machine in the hall. Service was great. Room size was normal for Japan. Triple occupancy room had 3 beds.

The room is extremely small by American standards, but pretty standard for Japan. It was spotlessly clean and had tons of amenities, including a hot water pot, fridge, TV, soap, shampoo, yukata (bathrobe), etc. The location was exceptional - just around the corner from the Asakusa temple! No wifi in the rooms, but there are ethernet cables, and there's wifi in the lobby.

Good location and value for money
Stayed in the hotel with family for 6 nights. The family room is spacious and has 3 beds and an extra mattress. Location is nearby Senso-Ji temple and conveniently located to access to the other attractions in Tokyo via rail and subway. Had a very comfortable stay in the hotel and my family enjoyed sightseeing around Tokyo.
