Paradise on Lake Arenal

Such a beautiful spot! Clean, comfortable and with spectacular views. Tanyia and Rod, the hosts are fantastic people and really put our already wonderful stay over the top. If you are looking for a peaceful place around Lake Arenal, look no further.

Beautiful Memories

It was one of most picturesque location. Tanya was always there guiding us through and giving us tips about what to check out for in and around the area. Definitely we will be visiting again. It was a memorable stay and vacation. Thank you Tanya for everything.

Perfect! Perfect! Perfect!

Very comfortable, great views, very clean. We have stayed in several locations in CR and this area is spectacular. This is the best VRBO and you will not be disappointed. Rod and Tanyia were very inviting and welcomed us like family. We did not want to leave and look forward to returning soon!

Excellent place to visit

The property is in a gated community a few miles outside of Tronadora. The house is a one bedroom stand alone house with a murphy bed in the main room which was great for the kids to use. The property was very clean and well managed. You do have access to a pool that is run by the community that have lovely views of Lake Arenal. It was about a 2 hour drive from Liberia to the property. We took a one day road trip to Monteverde rainforest which was fantastic. You are also about 2 hours from La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano. The climate is cooler than the beach area which can be a nice break for those that don't love hot sun all day. Our family really enjoyed our visit at the Birder's Paradise!

Nice property but too remote. Very hard to provision. It was a long and difficult drive to the activities we had planned for our stay. The VRBO website is outdated and contains misinformation.

Fantastic experience

Beautiful home and property. We were cared for very well by Rod and Tanya. I’ve been to Costa Rica several times and I have never seen so many Toucans! The only drawback was the last couple miles of road leading to the property was pretty rough. Thanks for everything!

Lake View

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Tucan. The stunning view, the amazing mango tree and plenty of butterflies flying around the colorful and well maintained garden… what we want to highlight is the great standard of the house. We stayed in many places and it seems a common thing that good quality of material is not so easy to get. The house has very good cooking pans, fridge, eletronic device, and so on. We enjoyed being alone on the property, we could imagine that if the neighbor house is occupied the privacy is a little less. But non the less it is still a great gem in Costa Rica!
