"Only decent hotel nearby, but the front desk experience was honestly one of the worst I’ve had. I had to ask about everything how to get to my room, Wi-Fi access, breakfast timing, pool hours, even where to find towels. Nothing was explained upfront. The front desk staff seemed completely uninterested, almost as if they were doing me a favor rather than providing a service. It really made the stay uncomfortable. I chose this place because it’s a Holiday Inn under IHG and expected at least basic standards of hospitality. Otherwise, I would have stayed elsewhere. When you’re on vacation, the last thing you need is that kind of negative vibe."

"Great stay. Older motel but clean. Both staff members we encountered were helpful. The kitchenette and pool were a nice bonus. AC worked well and shower pressure was excellent. Other amenities include fridge, microwave, desk, dining nook and TV. Would definitely book this place again in the future. Would recommend this motel if you are looking for a low budget, basic room just to sleep, shower and prep your own food."

"The room was a great location for our visit to Joshua Tree National Park. Access to the north entrance, which is the less busy one, is quick and easy. It allowed us to do star gazing and a sunrise easily. The mattresses are super comfortable as is all the living areas. Danielle is super communicative and check in and out were very easy. I would definitely stay here again. "

"Really enjoyed our stay here. It was as pictured and as described. Check in was a little crazy… like most people we had to contact the host the day of our arrival. But responses were timely, and we had no further issues. Pretty quiet neighborhood. Very open living area. Inviting porch/seating area on back porch. Five minute drive to the marine base, close to the park and downtown, fifteen minute drive to Joshua or the observatory. The host also sent us some suggestions of places to eat and things to do. I gave a four star because it is not a luxurious five star and somewhat pieced together, but more simple but very clean and pleasant. "

"This house has a beautiful backyard. The kitchen has what most people would need to cook most things. The beds are comfortable and there are ample towels and sheets. Check in is 5pm, which is very late. If you ask for an early check-in, it will cost you, quite a bit. When my family arrived, at 5pm, the dishwasher and dryer were running as the “detail” team made their exit. Now, that means the dishes from the last guests were there for me to put away! But, when I opened the dishwasher (at 7:30pm), not only were there dishes greeting me, they were completely caked with burnt on egg and something else all over the glasses. My husband and I spent our vacation time hand-washing the previous guests dishes. When I spoke with VRBO, I was offered either 35% of my stay in credit or 15% in cash, for a 5-star rating. Personally, that doesn’t pay for my trouble or time. The next day, when I was starting my family’s laundry, I found wet towels in the washer. "
