Whitecaps' historic features are interesting, and the decorating has some charm, The kitchen is well outfitted and has nice appliances. And the bath with the the claw-foot tub was enjoyed by a few of our clan.
That said, the inconveniences of a treacherous stairway to a musty basement/laundry/bedroom, inadequate and VERY inconvenient parking, a faulty shower door in master suite (leading to very slippery floors), doorknobs that tend to be lose and cranky, uneven floors throughout the house, a fire pit featured in the script/photos advertising the property but unavailable to guests, inadequate WiFi that is available basically only in living room and dining room areas ... these are the things our family will take home in our memory banks. Of the many properties we've enjoyed on Tybee, this one is certainly our least favorite and came at a hefty price for those inconveniences.
