"We booked the Thon Hotel Bergen Airport for its location near the airport, but it proved to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in during our years of travel in Europe. We booked two rooms for two nights. The rooms were nicely furnished in a tasteful, modern style, and they were beautifully maintained. Please convey my compliments to the housekeeping staff! There were some nice touches in the rooms, such as umbrellas and shoe horns: perhaps these were small details,but they reflected the service-oriented focus of the management.The bathroom was modern, efficient, and spotlessly clean. There were plenty of light sources in the room, which is not always true of hotel rooms.The breakfast buffet was the most impressive breakfast we had ever had in a hotel: nothing was missing from the menu,and the food was absolutely delicious. All of the staff members of the hotel, specifically including the dining room, were professional, efficient, and genuinely friendly: whenever I asked for information or assistance, it was as if there was nothing in the world that they would rather be doing than attending to my needs. Ruben at the front desk was especially helpful and courteous.Thon Hotel Bergen Airport could be used as a textbook example of how a superior hotel should be designed, managed, and operated.
